I'm sick and tired of the Mexican fanboys and Pacquiao haters claiming Marquez won all 4 fights. Everyone calls robbery and make it sound like it was clear, especially 3rd fight. It's really absolute nonsense and very annoying. First of all, the 3 fights were close, that we can agree on but to say that JMM clearly won any of them is HORSESH&T. In all 4 fights, Pac sent JMM to the canvas like 6 times total. JMM only floored Manny once but as we know that was one Pac couldn't recover from. 1st FIGHT - Very close. Pacquai knocked JMM 3 times in 1st round and almost finished the fight early. JMM came back and won some of the later rounds but in the end, the draw was a fair call. 2nd fight - Very close again but Pacquiao probably deserved the win more 3rd fight. This is the most controversial but let's ****yze. HBO's punch stats had Pacqiuao landing 176 vs 138 for JMM. Out of these, power shots still favored Pac 117-100. Harold Lederman had it 116-112 for Pacquiao too, which is relatively comfortable. Harold lederman is know as a fair scorer and a good one. Mexian fanboys and Pac haters swear this was a robbery and JMM clearly won but it's really just BS.. 4th fight - No disputing who won here but let's not forget Pacquiao was winning the fight at the point he ran into that punch. They had knocked each out once already and Pac was making JMM bleed and he got careless as he tried to finish off JMM, it wasn't like JMM was dominating and finally put him to sleep
You acknowledge the first two were "very close", and resort to citing punch stats the rubber, yet can't fathom someone having scored all three for Marquez? :huh I think maybe you don't get how scoring boxing on a RBR basis works...
I agree. All 3 was close enough for me to see it either way. The reason I think so many see it for Marquez is because rounds that Marquez won- without knockdowns- he won more clearly than the rounds that Pacquiao did- but that's due to the 10 point must system and not corrupt judging.
It's the juan****s and dumbass Floyd nuthuggers who think Marquez got robbed In fact, juan****s think Marquez beat Bradley Ranking goes: Pacquiao (Bradley's daddy) > Bradley (Marquez's daddy) > Marquez (Heredia's steroid boy)
If you concede that I, II, and III could go either way you should have no problem with someone claiming they see Marquez as 4-0 (1) over Pacquiao.
You missed the point. He is referring to the "robbery" claims, which are absurd. all 3 could have gone either way... but there was no robbery.
How about claims of the judges getting it wrong thrice over in what should've been close but clear victories for Marquez? :think Minor semantic difference, but...
They were not clear victories for Marquez. You must be a hidden juan**** inside... snap out of it and rewatch the fights. Pacquiao won the first, Pacquiao won the second (knockdown was the difference), third could've gone either way, Marquez won fourth
If you feel they could have gone either way, you must be amenable to a scorecard in any of those contests for Marquez. If you are, then surely you can see where someone might feel that having scored it for Marquez on the 10-point must system, there isn't a round they could budge on to shift it Pacquiao's way. (making it a close but clear victory for Marquez) If on all three occasions you can't find a majority of rounds for Pac (or, enough of them combined with the knockdowns to offset Marquez's points, where applicable) then you have three decisions with which you can say you find fault...whether or not you want to cry foul using the actual word "robbery".
