The first fight ended in a split decision, Marquez chose to lead and paid the price in making it close enogh to lose a decision . . . .

since then Marquez went onto dominate Mike Alvarado whilst Bradley lost a return bout with Pacquiao and drew with Chaves

Dont understand why this fight isnt being considered, instead Arum wants Cotto/Bradley which makes no sense as Cotto is now a middleweight and Bradley hasnt fought north of 147.

So is it Revenge or Repeat?

Unless Bradley want to fight in Azteca stadium and make this a revenge fight for Marquez, it makes little sense for Marquez to fight Bradley again without the welterweight title being at stake.

Would be interesting fight. However, Marquez should get up the nerve to rematch Pac, but he knows it was a lucky punch and will never embarrass himself by getting knocked out by Pac. Pac was on his way to knocking Marquez out and got careless, plus Marquez hired the world's top steroid man as his strength couch before that fight...........

Bradley fought the most diciplined and perfect fight for himself vs Marquez and even then it can be argued he got beat vs Marquez.
I'm not sure Bradley has the dicipline to punch and judy Marquez again.
If you were going to punch and judy a fighter it would have been against Pacquiao, but Bradley was'nt diciplined enough to stay away and lateral around the ring as he did vs Marquez.

Bradley did'nt look all that great vs Chaves, I think Marquez knocks him out this time. :D

this isnt about pacquiao, was the shot that put pacquiao on his ass in the 3rd a lucky punch?

Marquez has fought Pacquiao 4 times and arguably won every fight, the last two he won without question.

This thread isnt about pacquiao, its about Bradley and seeing how Marquez is coming off an injury and Bradley is now 1-1-1 in his last 3 itd be a good fight to set the record straight

I agree with this. Marquez doesn't fair well against boxers who have good speed and jabs.

Sure. There were enough swings rounds last time, close throughout.

I had the Bradley v Marquez bout a draw. Judges and commentators just don't know how to interpret Marquez' style, which is why he's probably the most robbed fighter active today. He was inactive at first trying to counterpunch and getting of better shots with accuracy and power, but a lot of people interpreted that as a passive old man being dominated by an energetic youngster. But he turned it on and started walking forward when he realized he was behind, and I think he did enough to pull out a draw in that fight.

Bradley was never elite like Pac, May, or Marquez, not even at the level of a prime Cotto really. He was just temporarily overrated do to a series of gift decisions by female judges. However, he may be a B level fighter but just because he's not an elite dominant rare talent, doesn't mean he isn't a good contender like a lot of the other top welterweights today. I think he beats Cotto, just because I think almost everybody beats Cotto at welterweight or above. Cotto is way past prime and he got the boxing miracle of the century when Martinez showed up in worse condition than he was.

However, Bradley isn't a big enough draw to pay Cotto the money he's looking for. If he'd back out of a fight with Canelo he either wants Mayweather or GGG in May. Them and Pac are the only ones who can possibly bring more coin than Canelo to the table. He knows what a prize he has in that middleweight belt and he's not parting with it for anything less than top dollar.

As for Marquez, sure he's the superior fighter, but when he's not roiding he looks every bit of his 40 years. Plus, Alvarado never was very good and had been showing a lot of wear and tear by the time Marquez got to him. You can't rate the victory too highly, just like Brandon Rios' victory is hollow.

Nobody is really clamoring for a repeat of what wasn't a particularly sensational fight to begin with, so I think they'll both fight different people. What I'd like to see, since they are similar size and generation, is a tournament between Bradley, Broner, and Crawford at 140. Throw Danny and Mikey Garcia into the mix there too if you want to make it interesting.

Personally the idea of a rematch is rather meh... Bradley handled Marquez quite comfortably, and would do so again imo. Would rather see both guys against other fighters.

Bradley and JMM vs Matthysse, Khan, Brook, Garcia, Floyd, Thurman, Ruslan

Are all fights Id love to see them in

Will they happen? Of course not

Bradley beats Marquez again. Bradley isn't an aggressive fighter that will give Marquez openings to counter and be in the fight. Bradley will force Marquez to be aggressive and Marquez isn't good enough to beat Bradley fighting aggressively.
