Why do power punchers never get accused of ducking?

    Fill in the blank with whoever you want, it doesn't matter. The power punchers never get accused of ducking or cherry picking, no matter the situation. Why is Fighter A always considered a ducker or cherry picker because he hasn't fought the "monster" or power puncher Fighter B?

    Ever think that maybe the power puncher needs to step up and fight the more skilled fighter?

    Why is the power puncher always the "bar"?

    Golovkin is accused of ducking Ward, Stevenson is accused of ducking Kovalev.

    Oh another recent one, Donaire and Rigo as well (although I understand that Rigo punches hard but still, Donaire was known as more of the puncher of the two)

    Because generally their style is more fan friendly so a bias soon builds up for them.

    I love how offensive fighters never get critisized for not being able to cut the ring off vs defensive boxers, instead the pure boxer is labled a runner

    Golovkin is but I wouldn't consider it ducking unless he's willing to fight someone else at that weight and not the "best".

    Kovalev is the boogey man and THE power puncher in the division. While that situation is similar, Adonis did duck for sure.

    My point was, Kovalev, Golovkin, Matthysse, Provodnikov, [insert KO artist] is never accused of ducking someone.
