Marquez won the first last time I saw it. Pac won the second one, especially if you score the kd that should have been called. Third one, I haven't rewatched it. Overall, Marquez won the series with that emphatic KO. Although he was getting punished at the end, he was landing HUGE bombs, not close to a lucky punch.
The only thing I don't like is hearing some here talk about Marquez like he completely schools Pacquiao when that simply isn't the case. You can't get beaten up so badly and win and say to have schooled your opponent. Schooling is what Floyd did to Marquez.
Marquez has never schooled Pacquiao. He beat him close but clear on the RBR 10-point must system of scoring thrice (but didn't get credit for it from the official judges), and knocked him out cold once.
Another butt hurt ALT. III was a clear win for JMM. Even the Pac fans in my group thought JMM won. There are some objective pac fans out there. Agree about the first two. Have no problem with either guy winning.
First fight I had a draw. No card bothers me. Second fight I had it to Marquez, but I didn't think robbery was the right word. Third fight, near-robbery. Very, very difficult to score that fight for Pacquiao IMO. Fourth fight...hmmm...not sure.
You can never win with juanturds. They will drink marquez's pee and suck his captain willy dry just to prove a point.
Most of the people who call any of those first 3 fights robberies around here are either strong Floyd fans (who hate Pac by default) or have Mexican heritage/roots and are being influenced strongly by national pride. If you remove those cases you actually don't see a lot of rational boxing fans calling any of those fights robberies. All the fights were close and competitive. Great fights for the fans. Even the last fight where Pac got KTFO, most feel he was winning up until the KO and doing it more clearly than all the previous three fights. These guys just have styles that are fire and ice. The difference between the two for me on greatness level is that Manny has beaten a lot of other top class fighters with his style while Marquez really has only had top level success against Pac.
Lol watch all the fights over again. With out PACs ***** in your face. He gave him the chicken legs, PAC also admitted in the build up to jmm vs PAC 4 that he was ready to quit in the 9th or 8th round of fight #2.
Apart from which it doesn't matter if you KD a guy 30 times in a fight. It is keeping him down like JMM did that counts. As you rightly acknowledge.
