Anthony Wade was a jorneyman HW who retired with the record 22-6 (5 KO). He never beat anyone of note, but one thing surprised me.

He fought 4 heavy hitters in Ike Ibeabuchi, Donovan Ruddock, Corrie Sanders and Bert Cooper.

He went full distance against all of them besides Cooper.
Vs Cooper he was stopped in 8th, but it was due to a broken nose. He wasn't hurt or close to that.

A pretty impressive punch resistance. He's not mentioned as often as Oliver McCall, Marion Wilson or Ross Puritty in the list of best HW chins, but I think he's right there with them.

All I can remember about him is being impressed with how brave he is and being impressed how disciplined he was about a very high guard?

I think i've only seen the Cooper fight.

His skill level wasn't good, in fact he lost every round to those guys. But the chin impressed me.

I saw his fight against Cooper on youtube recently. Decent boxer but 30 lbs. overweight at least.

Me too. I was visiting my grandmother in Florida around 1991 when I caught it on TV. I didn't realize it until the creation of boxrec years later that he fought like 17 times his first year as a pro. That's crazy.
