Hatton is one in a million and he was world class, Haye world class and most of them were there for Klitschko anyway, Mitchell again world title fight against a great champion, Coyle does close to 20,000 when he is domestic-European level and that is because of the Matchroom vehicle. You don't listen to my points anyway so I cant debate with you because I said that the top guys of 10 years ago where big ticket sellers and they always will be, but its the lesser guys that didn't get any coverage before, its easy to promote one of the top guys as there are so many options and you can make money with ease, promoting the smaller guys is the tough business and Hearn makes it look easy and he has improved British boxing
I was there you mouthy little prat. There was TONS of seats available. 'The only seats left were...' the only ones? there was thousands of them you dry lunch!
Right but how was Mitchell one of the top guys? and no his fight was not a world title fight. You keep saying Tommy Coyle sold a 20,000 seat stadium out yet you won't mention that Luke Campell was on the card. Luke Campell was a light weight gold medalist at the Olympics. He's the big name prospect just like Amir Khan used to be and he was on the card. When Amir Khan went pro, an Olympic lightweight silver medalist, every fight he had was selling out 15,000-20,000 seat stadiums never mind if he had a fight in Bolton and another Bolton fighter at the same weight was on. Basically you're talking **** and you know you are.
He's just making up rubbish and trying to re write history mate. Joined June 2014 no doubt only been following the sport 2-3 years maximum and just doesn't have a clue what he is on about. Ticket sales, PPV sales, viewing figures etc. have not really changed from what they were 10 years ago but apparently boxing was dead then.
No there seriously wasn't pal! I was there too and as I stated before the only seats that were available were the ones that were not made available to the public therefore my point stands that he sold out the 80,000 that he was given :hi:
You joined 2013 so not looking great for you either by that logic! Forgot that you was only a fan of boxing if you signed up to this site atsch
Okay but who was the main event and headlining the show? Coyle? Yes I thought so. Khan was selling out stadiums when he was headlining. Khan is a whole different level of hype to Campbell too and you know that. Mitchell was and still is world level, you know that okay I was wrong about it being a world title fight but my point still stands. I am not the one talking **** here and from my original point of Hearn improving British boxing still stands :good
Sorry missed of the Wembley bit off my last comment but the areas were seats were not sold were largely covered in a sheet of some sort, I was there and saw that in the areas that were sold there was not a spare seat and you know it too
Largely covered in sheet? LOLOLOL! I'm gonna have to dig out some pics on my PC to prove you wrong. god you really are reaching with this one!
Not at all the highest points of certain stands were covered in a grey sheet from memory, at the end of the day 80,000 were sold which were put out to the public for a 90,000 seater stadium I believe, therefore it sold out.
