While I don't trust a guy who, for all purposes IS a promoter but calls himself an adviser and is too much of a sissy to talk to the media (which given his level of influence on the sport is unacceptable)... I totally support him bringing boxing back to regular cable. He put up his own dough to do it and looks to be putting on some high profile fighters. That is awesome for fans. We'll see where he is going with this, but for now it is a great thing. I think back to when I was a kid and didn't have a dad around to introduce me to the sport and if it wasn't for boxing on regular cable, I never would have gotten into it.
good to hear your story. Luckliy i had a dad and i watched boxing when i was 4 years old. you didnt have your dad around so fights on regular tv got you into the sport. Now think how many more ppl could get into the sport these days with it on Regular tv!? its wild to think and this is very good for the sport

Yeah I think it is more difficult for the younger generation to get into it because fighters fight so few times a year and the PPV's are largely the fights that get the hype. I mean, I'm only 30 but kids like 8 or 9 don't have great exposure to top fighters unless they have someone around who is in to it.
yeah im only 28 but got my 6yr old nephew watching every fight with me. hopefully he does that with his kids and it gets passed on! gotta raise them right!!! :bbb:bbb
