Looks like People over there are more interested in seeing "The REAL HW Champ" instead of the "US Paper Champ" :deal

Who would've ever thought that a guy who as been at or near the top of the HW division for 15 years would be more popular than a guy headlining his first major show?

Imagine how many tickets would sell in hour 1 if Vlad fought Fury, Joshua or Haye in the UK. Probably more than them put together.

Well I see what you are saying, but it's not that cut and dried.

Wilder is supposed to be the Top US star, the biggest heavyweight draw of any US fighter (perception on here at least)...and only sold 4k tickets. While Wlad is supposed to not be able to give away tickets in the US (again that's the perception on here anyway), and sold 5k in an hour.

It always amused me how Wilder was always hyped up as America's new hope when Jennings (along with others) is so much better than him and actually has the ***** to go for big names. Seriously, this guy beats 32 cans and runs away from a dehydrated zombie for 12 rounds and they want us to pretend he's not a paper champ? I'm glad this is selling well even if its too early for Jennings to be a real threat to Waldo.

Wlad's appeal in America is (and will further be) boosted by his relationship with Hayden Panettiere, the birth of their daughter and the extensive coverage that those items are receiving in the American entertainment-focused media.

Brilliant move by K2. The American casuals are coming on board, but its not because of Wlad directly.
