I had never paid attention to the Marquez acne discussion

Yeah, he's been on it for a while. Pacquiao's team, Mayweather's team, Bradley's team, Max Kellerman, and more have stated their suspicions openly. Kellerman said the reason he's suspicious is because of the increase in power and SPEED at his age. He said when a fighter is in the atrophy ages and they're appearing extremely bulked up more so than ever in their lives and throwing punches faster, it makes him suspect they're on steroids.

What did it for me was not the KO, but the first KD in their fight. That was a shot Pac's been hit with over and over. Reason why he pulled away and didn't duck. He was even smiling because he knew the shot wouldn't hurt him from being hit with it the past 3 fights....

But, the power knocked him flat on his back. You could even see it in his face when he looked up and was like, "Wtf did that come from?"

It's a shame, and it makes me sick. Respect to Pacquiao though for going to war and almost damaging opponents when they're all roided up(Marquez,Rios).

Acne is a possible side-effect of doping. Nobody here is suggesting that Acne is the only side effect and happens with everybody who uses peds.

And there's a 20 minute video of Heredia claiming he manufactured 20+ undetectable drugs.

And JMM FLAT OUT REFUSED to do VADA testing (the only organization to have caught people) in the Bradley fight.

 

I don't want - or need - to look at his acne.

It's an established fact that he went on something stronger for the 4th Pacquaio fight anyway.
Yet he'd probably used something milder in other fights.

Of course Pacquiao's own use is obvious too.

I'm not sure why people even argue about this stuff.
They take these drugs, they take supplements, they train hard, they get in shape, they come to fight .... then the bell rings and they show their character. It takes a lot to be champion fighter like Pacquiao or JMM, and people just want to b!tch and argue about the drugs. It's old news.

I will try and play the devils advocate a bit.
Marquez is not faster than he used to be. He has slowed down significally.
And another thing i would like to point out is that Hopkins was faster than Pavlik. Jones Jr, til this day holds some of his hand speed.
Age is not that big of a factor when it comes to speed.

And the shot that got Marquez the first KD was, as you said, due to Pacquiao pulling back. His balance was off and he was caught off guard going backwards.
And that punch has hurt Pacquiao numerous times over the tetralogy.

That episode has a lot of good slow mo highlights and you can see how Pacquiao was always balanced to some extent when he got caught with a right hand.

You can say Pac was on roids too. I never said he was not. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if any of the top fighters were. It's just that JMM seems to be one of those cases that looks obvious from an appearance perspective (like Vargas, for example). He has crazy acne and increased muscle mass. Pacquiao never looked to be on steroids appearance wise. My dad, who has 0 bias in this matter, came into the room during the weigh in and the first thing he said is how big Marquez looked, he said he looked on steroids, his shoulders looked huge.

 

You're right. It is most obvious in JMM case. And, yes, it is steroids. Good old-fashioned steroids,

With Pacquiao, or Mayweather even, they might not be taking those old-style compounds, but they are taking something. In this day and age it's just routine.

 

Marquez clearly won third fight. He must be on juice since 2011.
