H2H I'd slightly favor Lewis to beat Wlad, but IMO Wlad has more power than lewis had.

 

Wlad does have a beautiful looking left hook, really compact and powerful, it's an impressive left hook for anyone let alone someone of Wlad's size and build.

It's true Lewis left hook was inferior. Best examples of Lewis left hook would be the left hook that hurt Bruno and the left hook that set up the right hand in the Rahman rematch. He also dropped Morrison with a left hook and threw some nice ones against Mercer if my memory serves me correctly.

But while Lewis' left hook was inferior, Lewis uppercut with either hand was superior to Wlad's. A video comparison of Wlad's uppercuts to Lewis' would also see a dramatic difference in the delivery and effectiveness in this punch from both men.

 

Agree. It's pointless trying to separate them on this.

 

Joshua is nobody, he's the guy that failed every single test, he lost in the worlds, lost numerous times in olympics, he has that british loser's mentality I don't think he's going to dominate ****.

 

who cares what malik scott says about anything? who cares who has a harder punch? they'll never fight, so this subject is just people hyping their favorite. the only opinion of scotts i'd value, would be who pays more for him to take a dive. chisora or wilder.

Lewis may very well hit harder but Scott is not an honest broker here.

Yeah, Joshua is a freak the same as Deontay? I think we see Scott's next dive coming.

 

I'm a Lewis fan but from the looks of things there's not much in it power wise. Lewis had a far better uppercut though.

 

We will agree to disagree -- It was the roundhouse right that did the damage to Rahman. The left he threw was merely a setup for that. I was referring solely to the shot that put Rahman out.

As for Eddie Chambers, that left wasn't even landed that cleanly. Wladimir has landed more flush punches in his career on guys that didn't go down. The reaction Chambers had to that shot had more to do with Eddie's fatigue and failing punch resistance at that point in the 12th. Wlad's KOs of Shufford and Pulev are better examples than that, imo.

 

If it was all fatigue why didn't he go down from hard right hands earlier in the round?

You aren't knocked out face down, unconscious like that, unless there's true power behind the shot.

Pulev would go 10 rounds against both and-probably lose

Phil Jackson, unlike Malik Scott, actually fought Wladimir, and Lewis in a professional fight. I've heard more people say Wladimir hits harder than the other way around (and that includes Steward).

BUT,
Malik Scott, isn't he the guy who took a huge dump on pro boxing against Wilder by being "KO'ed" in spectacular fashion? I wouldn't believe that guy if he said he was black.

When Chambers got buckled by a few hard straight rights in the earlier rounds, he was still relatively fresh. But by the 12th round, he had absorbed enough punishment to go down from that glancing temple shot between his gloves. Chambers was also deteriorating right up until that point and was just trying to survive by then.

People were actually questioning whether the KO punch even landed back then. I remember it like it was yesterday. The punch definitely landed, but it was where it landed (on the temple) -plus Chambers being ready to go- that lead to that dramatic result. Wladimir has thrown and landed harder, cleaner hooks than that one.
