So? What's your point, he still got BADLY stunned. Ruslan has an iron chin, and if it takes Lucas 11 rounds to get John Molina a guy who doesn't have a chin like Ruslan out and comes forward, then he's not taking Ruslan out.
I agree its sucks that they will destroy each other but I still want to see this fight its too damn good to pass up.
yes ruslan is more durable and seems to be more hungry.lucas was talking about retirement he seems very vulnerable.
The only thing that makes this fight slightly interesting is the degradation Lucas appears to have undergone making this more competitive. Before then, I would have Lucas winning very easily, he does everything far better. I still say Lucas beats him but, Lucas's appearance of decline may be an x factor that could have Provo very much in the fight.
Matthysse is a better boxer than Provodnikov. Provodnikov has no defense, he gets hit way too easily. Matthysse will stop him by TKO or KO............
Ruslan by middle rounds stoppage. Huge fan of both guys but I think matthyse is believing the hype that ruslan is easily outboxed and that he (Lucas) is the superior boxer. Lucas isn't half the boxer that Herrera, bradley or Algieri is. I see matthyse trying to box provodnikov and paying for it horribly. I know boxing would seem like a smarter thing to do but this idea that boxers easily beat ruslan is a goofy myth. He lost 3 razor close controversial fights to far better boxers than Lucas and sent them all straight to the hospital.
Ruslan has power but it's a bit overrated he hurt both Bradley badly multiple times but couldn't finish him. He blasted Algeri in the first round and same he couldn't finish him also. He hurts guys but he might to settle down a bit more and pick his shots a bit better when he gets guys in Trouble.
