Interesting that Tarver, Wright, Pavlik, Pascal, Shumenov, Cloud were not able to :think

Super middle as a weight class didn't exist until the late 80's and it has been a pretty weak division for much of it's short history.

Being the GOAT at 168 is nowhere near the same as being the GOAT at, for example, 147.

I actually haven't watched this fight. May have to check it out. Though I doubt it will change my opinion that neither Calzaghe or Hopkins were "shot"

What position was Jones at LHW in the bible of boxing when Calzaghe beat him? Thats right #6 and a good enough opponent for Hopkins several fights later. But whats funnier is that Imperial here picked Jones to win :smoke and didnt think Jones was shot. Yep you post this, which follows nicely about what I said about the stupid speaking for themselves

It was a great fight. M Ayres was a close to world class LW, who had beaten some good names, but had tried coming back and lost. Later he had an epic battle against W Rigby, a real classic. At 36 Ayres still boiling down to LW had a rematch with Rigby and threw over a 1000 punches in another good battle, though nothing like the first

Once again Joe knew Frank knew but Bailey Didnt oh how ironic ! And for Jones to be ranked at number 6 when he hadn't had a signifigant win since Tarver 1 which was in 03 just continues to show how corrupt the sanctioning bodies were !

What win would have put him at number 6 ?His win over Henshaw or the Prince dude ? Please who are you kidding with that ?

Here's a couple of links with details of his shoulder injury, he dislocated a bone in his shoulder which connects to the collar bone. He had an MRI scan to prove it.

    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/7121198/bernard-hopkins-gets-mri-shoulder-files-appeal-dq-win

    http://ringtv.craveonline.com/news/169722-hopkins-resting-on-pain-meds-following-mri-of-shoulder

He then submitted the MRI to the WBC and California commission resulting in the original decision being overturned and changed to an NC.

    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/7350323/california-commission-rules-bernard-hopkins-loss-chad-dawson-no-decision

There is such a double standard with some people regarding Hopkins. Hopkins is fouled in the ring and injured, it's there in high definition for everyone to see and you have people saying he faked it despite the fact the MRI scan was good enough to get the decision overturned by 2 bodies.

Yet Calzaghe has had far more injuries throughout his career yet do you see threads or posts asking for proof or a medical diagnosis. Do we see "Calslappy ducked Johnson, faked injuries", "Calslappy ducked Vanderpool, faked injuries" etc. No he says he was injured and I for one along with many others believe him, no hysterical threads or declarations of deception just acceptance of the fact boxers get injured. Yet Hopkins gets thrown over a shoulder or pushed out of the ring and he's clearly faking, utter madness. :-(

You were one of the ones who picked for Jones. You are saying Frank knew, but you yes YOU, picked for Jones. You really are making yourself look silly.

Thank you BB. I knew Herol wouldnt be able to post a link.
I think the Calzaghe it was known before he turned pro and that he had had operations as well as so many breaks his hands suffered, even breaking a bone when he beat Manfredo

Dont you guys think its ironic that Bozo Hans accused Bernard Hopkins of faking the injured shoulder when Dawson body slammed him & the low slap that calzaghe landed??? He forgets to mention his idol Slappy Calzaghe tried to bail out of the Lacy fight faking an injury. Slappy's own father Enzo knew he was faking & MADE the coward fight. There was nothing at all wrong with him. He was just scared Lacy was going to beat him & hurt him ROFLMAO
