Demps, just saw the fight E.Morales vs. Jesus Chavez..why did,Jesus take such dificult opponent being that it was only Jesus's first defense ?..was it mandatory?..was it such a nice payday..that he couldnt say no ?..seems to me he couldve taken an easier oponent..so that Jesus could enjoy his chmp. status longer.. ...more fame (= more money)...and he couldve made easier $ without much risk at loosing his belt..thanks dempsey..educate me on this one...we truly apreciate you sharing your experience with us !.....:bbb

TDLR's take is that managerial contracts are a civil matter. I will see if I can PM you.

Good questions, my answer are in bold.

Demps, just saw the fight E.Morales vs. Jesus Chavez..why did,Jesus take such dificult opponent being that it was only Jesus's first defense ?..was it mandatory?..was it such a nice payday..that he couldnt say no ?

The simple answer is we really felt we could take him.
..seems to me he couldve taken an easier oponent..so that Jesus could enjoy his chmp. status longer.. ...more fame (= more money)...and he couldve made easier $ without much risk at loosing his belt..thanks dempsey..educate me on this one...we truly apreciate you sharing your experience with us
It was a calculated risk, we knew that if we beat Morales we would be on a different level and be able to command more money.
If you saw the fight, Jesus had him in the first, but I believe it was at the end of the 1st rd. His right shoulder gave out, a torn rotor cuff. Jesus suffered 2 kd's in the 2nd, from then on to the last rd he couldn't use his right hand. He had to ball it out, he told me that the pain was incredible. From the end of the first rd on he had only his left hand to hold off Eric. Believe me it took some guts to keep fighting. Eric never would fight Chavez again.

Boxing scene writeup: Alex Saucedo dominated Eduardo Flores en route, dropping and stopping the well-traveled Ecuadorian in the third round of their televised co-feature.

Saucedo - a well-schooled boxer from Oklahoma City, was well in control for the duration of the brief affair. The unbeaten welterweight boxed early while looking for the right opening to dial up the violence.

Flores did him that favor, pulling off a poor imitation of former two-division titlist Ricardo Mayorga in tapping his own chin and daring his opponent to hit him. Saucedo did just that, cracking the journeyman with a right hand to put him down and out.

The official time was 2:05 of round three.

Saucedo rolls to (17-0, 12KOs) with his first fight and win of 2015. The 20-year old has been a fixture on the Solo Boxeo circuit through his first three full years in the pro ranks.

The fight will be on youtube in a week or two.

Ok..yea i did see Jesus 'twitch' a little at the end of the first few rounds..but i thought it was cus he was getting tired..i guess Jesus( being a quiet guy) didnt want Morales to notice he was injured(very smart)..so,it wouldve been a different story if Jesus wouldnt of gotten injured!....-Saucedo-..thats great he won!..i think you do have a champ there! .:thumbsup....question: Whats the strategy of managers postponing Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight?..is it simply that they just want more money?....Mayweather afraid to lose his invicted record?...whats your opinion?..maybe im off the mark..but i think the managers strategy is to creat the most anticipation possible-to sell more tikets...what do you think? :bbb

Again my sole view here there is a tendency to tar all promoters with the same brush it's a sweeping generalization to say that all are bad to deal with and you will get burned. Not so from various sources fighters included as well as their reps the managers. For domestic level fighters and the inexperienced negotiators, some things to bare in mind.
1.Do your homework and find out the figures on offer are reasonable, ask around social media etc makes the world a small place.
2.Don't be naive either the first offer often will be a tester look at negotiating reasonably often because of point 3!
3.Your worth, what you bring to the table are you a big ticket seller with the prospect of developing as a fighter for the promoters up to a certain level music to their ears...money one, career development two.
4.Make sure you are cut in on those sales it should be straightforward to work on a decent %.
5.If the deal isn't right for you and your team walk away if you so wish but be reasonable, realistic. You may want to work with these people at a future date.

Guys for the domestic to mid level promoters with no TV the margins for profit are not massive to believe otherwise is incorrect. The high level promoters different ball game with TV budgets obviously bigger bucks.

..wow!..i went back ,saw the fight again ( Morales vs. Chavez) dempsey,,absolutely correct,Chavez faught Morales with one hand!..i believe Chaves got injured in the middle of the 3rd. round...Chavez didnt throw ONE meaningfull punch with his injured arm after that...amazing ! not even the commentators caught that..(i didnt see that the first time either...) & its so obvious ...just shows you..even experts can overlook obvious things sometimes.(commentators not seeing that Jesus was fighting one handed)..hats off to Jesus..he fought Morales with one hand..:good ..did he let you guys know inbetween rounds he was injured?..also - could you guys have gotten a mandatory rematch in the contract?.(just incase)..or is that hard to get .:bbb ....how does that work?..does it depend on Morales manager(in this case) if he accepts?..thnx

Just want to be more healthy and i am just starting to get into boxing, Instead of snacking on crisps and biscuits i want to cut those out with an alternative.

But something that is actually gonna make me stop feeling hungry
