According to Daniel Nichols of the roar it's between Lara,Trout and Cotto.

Following comments from promoter Brian Amatruda on social media last night that read Choc been offered biggest fight of his career, the Aussie boxing community has begun speculating on just who his potential opponent could be.
The current WBC Silver Super Welterweight Champion fought his way back from the potential s****heap with arguably the best performance of his career in beating Sergey Rabchenko late last year.
The victory and the subsequent title means he has positioned himself for a potential mega fight early in 2015.
Many names have been thrown up, including the pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, but to be honest, even if Floyds potential fight with Manny Pacquiao falls through, its incredibly unlikely a Mayweather-Mundine match-up will be made.
Its far more likely that we will see one of the following three face off with the rejuvenated Mundine.
1. Austin Trout
For mine, this is the most likely opponent for Mundine. Im not sure a fight with Trout would qualify as the biggest of Mundines career, given he has faced Mikkel Kesler and Shane Mosley.
Thats not a knock Trout of course, after all this is a man who has beaten the likes of Miguel Cotto and our own Daniel Dawson.
The Trout camp have accused Mundine of ducking their fighter in the past, and Mundine has recently been quoted as saying he believes Trout is the first of three steps to a fight with Mayweather.
Trout is available, has history with Mundine, and is looking for a big victory to put him back in the company of the likes of Alvarez and Lara, who delivered his only two career losses.
A victory for Mundine over Trout would attract huge attention in the States and would mean he would become a far more attractive opponent to the mega stars.
2. Erislandy Lara
Following a controversial split decision loss to Saul Alvarez, only the second loss of his career, Lara rebounded with a comprehensive victory over Ishe Smith.
With Alvarez already booked to fight James Kirkland in May, Lara could use a potential fight with Mundine to press his efforts for a rematch.
Lara is a massive name in the industry, and although he does not carry to the name value of the likes of Cotto and Mayweather, this fight, if held in Australia, would be a massive occasion.
A win over Lara puts Mundine within striking distance of Alvarez and possibly Mayweather also. A win over Mundine would net Lara the number one contendership to Floyd Mayweather, a man he is yet to face.
3. Miguel Cotto
34 year-old Miguel Cotto would certainly qualify as Mundines biggest fight of his career, and there were rumours of an inquiry being sent from Mundines management to the Cotto camp.
Cotto, whose four career losses have come in World Title fights against the whos who of the boxing business, may be tempted by a potential 60,000 plus crowd at the MCG should the fight take place down under.
Mundines Silver title win technically makes him number one contender to Floyd Mayweather, who Cotto lost to in 2012, a loss he would like to avenge.
A fight in front of a huge crowd, for a potential shot at Mayweather makes this fight a very real possibility.
It could very well be the biggest fight ever hosted in Australia should it eventuate, however youd have to imagine Mundine would be willing to travel for an opportunity to fight Cotto.
Make no mistake, a win over Cotto for Choc places him in rare territory and brings him mighty close to a dream match-up with Mayweather.
If any of the three mentioned above do turn out to be the one offering Mundine his next fight, youd have to think, if held in Australia, the fight would surpass Mundine versus Green and possibly even Green versus Jones Jr as the biggest held on our shores, at least in terms of ticket sales and hype.
A win over Trout, Lara or Cotto puts a fight with Mayweather within reach.
The announcement will certainly be one to watch out for.

Last June actually was the last time he fought if we're talking about Miguel Cotto and if I'm not mistaken Kel is correct in thinking he holds the WBC segment of the fragmented title .

Correct on the last fight date :good

But I think you'll find Golovkin now holds the WBC title Cotto used to hold.
