    The most embarrassing part of that is not that he got knocked down by a 400lb walking tub of lard (which is incredibly embarrassing) but that he was actually showboating against an opponent of that caliber.

    To be fair to Nichols all of his wins have come via the short route though. Against opponents with stellar records like this:

    0-7 (all loses via KO, six in the first round and the other in the second)
    0-3 (all loses via KO, two in the first, one in the second)
    1-11 (all loses via KO, nine in the first, one in the second and the other in the fourth - the lone win coming against a chap making his debut who never fought again - ditto for Nichol's other win)

    Let me clarify I don't see him as a world beater either but he deserves some credit for the win over BS.

    I've never seen him "knocked cold" in amateurs (not saying it didn't happen) and I've never seen him more than a quick buzz in the pros.

    in the AMs are you saying he was literally knocked out cold or was he stopped ? because those are so different. and one will make and one will break your arguement
