I will say Wilder has gotten better at fighting tall.

    Yeah so what

Klitchko clinches a lot and it makes for boring fights and it looks like Wlad is scared to fight at times

    That remains true

I actually think Wlad is very good but don't try to make it seem like he doesn't excessively clinch because he does

Wilder is a stylistic nightmare for Povetkin. Wilder would beat him similar to how he beat Stiverne. He's too long too tall has too much speed movement and pop. He throws a stiff jab and nice a 1-2 he will bust Povetkin up from the outside. Povetkin will find this Wilder a difficult fight just like he did with Wlad trying to get inside. Wilder UD or TKO.:deal

Like I said, Povetkin can actually cut off the ring, and can apply pressure, unlike Stiverne.

Povetkin can win by late stoppage if he works Wilder's body.

Wlad clinches more or less depending on the opponent. He didn't clinch much in the Pulev, Wach, Austin, or Thompson. Clinches happen more frequently with smaller fighters. And boxed ears, Ali clinched a lot, the Frazier fight was the most egregious example of said clinching.

It won't matter. Wilder is so much more athletic that he will out maneuver Povetkin around the ring. He knows how to fight tall has great stamina unlike Povetkin. He will move on his ass all night and uses his superior speed and reach to keep him at bay. He will outpoint Povetkin or he will knock him out. You need to be Wilder's size in order to beat him that's why I would favor Fury and Wlad to beat him.

You drink the Kool Aid and dream of days past when the heavyweight division was exclusively an American enterprise and all of these pesky Eastern Euros remained in the amateurs and all of the best heavyweights couldn't fight. Ali may not have had height on all opponents but he had reach on many.

Povetkin is a quality HW but Wilder is just a bad match up for him.

Povetkin wins by brutal curbstomp. He got in on Wlad easily and the only reason the fight was one sided was because Wlad was allowed to use his weight and strength along with illegal clinches and pushes. Wilder doesn't have the experience of Wlad and I doubt he would have a ref in his pocket. And there is no way in hell a 6'6" stringbean who weighs less than 220 would muscle around Povetkin like big ass Klitschko did.
