Guillermo Jones was previously banned for 2 years after being caught for the 2nd time in succession and 3rd time in total, at the cancelled rematch with Denis Lebedev wich was supposed to take place in April of 2014. Jones wants his ban reduced and be reinstated, but now in the Heavyweight rankings, obviously because he clearly can't make CW in any legal manner anymore. The WBA is taking their countryman's appeal into review (surprise, surprise!). Won't be surprised in any way if the WBA grants his request and gives him an easy fight for the WBA "interim" Heavyweight strap or some bull like that. This content is protected
Wouldn't surprise me at all if they grant his request either, all depends upon how much cash was stuffed in the envelope with the letter and petition. Any sanctioning body can be bought off they are all a bunch of crooks.
Don't even think he needs to fight Chag if the WBA rules in his favor. Probably someone like their Aussie #7 de Mori for the vacant interim belt or something like that.
He shouldn't merely serve a lengthy ban or have his licence revoked, he should be stoned to death for what he did. I'd volunteer to be one of the stone throwers.
so after a wiki search all i found was he tested positive for drugs at somepoint. was there some kind of catch to this or an event that happend that he is so hated for? please enlighten me exactly what he has done. yes this thread is the first time ive heard of him
Yeah, he's been busted x3, twice against Lebedev (whom he could've killed) and once against Johnny Nelson.
I applaud the guy. Have any of you actually seen his horrible disgusting physique? He NEEDS PEDs. In fact his problem was never taking PEDs, but not taking enough of it. I hope he's been juicing to his gills while being suspended, so we don't have to witness that blubbery mess he calls a body once more :-(
A duretic, but one that's used a lot to mask steroids. Was very populair among weightlifters because when caught they only got brought up for weightcheating instead of roiding, wich gave them a much smaller ban. But even if he wasn't using steroids as well, everyone watching the 1st (and eventually only) fight was amazed how he made the weight, looking like a full blown and even overweight Heavyweight. He could simply walk Lebedev down despite being outboxed and taking heavy blows doing so.
