Roy wouldn't have beaten Joe at SMW?

    1. Did Roy Jones deserve the RING belt? If not, who did?
    2. Did Roy Jones have the WBC belt illegally returned to him without ever defending it?
    3. Did Roy Jones ever fight the #1 ranked fighter in any division except SMW?
    4. Did Michalczewski ever lose the WBA/IBF belts in the ring?
    5. Did Lennox Lewis ever lose the WBA belt in the ring?
    6. Did Hopkins draw with Segundo Mercado a year after losing to Jones?
    7. Did Calzaghe pursue unifications at SMW with Ottke, Reid, Beyer, Lucas, and whoever else held the titles?
    8. Did Calzaghe unify SMW against Lacy and Kessler?
    9. Did Calzaghe defeat the clear #1 fighter at LHW?
    10. You mad bro?

Ah, see herein lies your problem, the problem that promnpts me to suspect retar-dation.... I'm not being insulting or trite here... perhaps "retar-ded" has fallen out of favour and I should be using a newer, more politically correct term ?

How does "developmentally delayed" grab you ?

    Or maybe "disadvantaged ?"

    Anyone for "Neurologically challenged ?"

My apologies if RETAR-DED is now considered gauche or demeaning.

Getting back to my point, I have pointed out (several times) that Joe defeated Bernard in the middle of Bernard's best ever three consecutive win streak. (Well, it would have been three consecutive, had the Welsh Dragon not interrupted the sequence)

I've already posted a complete list of Bernard's fights (four in all) for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008.

I'll indulge you and put it up again:

I've colour-coded the streak for your benefit. Sometimes, folks who have had 'learning difficulties' respond better to visual cues that text.
(Hope you don't find the term 'learning difficulties' harmful to your self-esteem)

I hope this clarifies matters for you.

If not, I'll have to draw you a picture.

As you can see, my patience in this matter is nigh on interminable !

    Statistics don't allow for circumstances.

Anyone with ten mins to spare, can use stats to either enhance or trash a guys resume.

Bailey is a master of this. (Or at least a master in trying to do it)

He can make guys like Veit and Mkrtchyan look like world beaters.

    Joe was a great fighter.

But he was content to defend his WBO belt at SMW, which was weaker than the LHW division, for the majority of his career.

He had the opportunity to move up in 2003 when he couldn't fight Ottke, but he decided to stay and fight Mitchell, Mkrtchyan, Salem, Veit and Ashira. He also didn't know in 2003, that he'd end up in big fights with Lacy and Kessler in 3-4 years time.

It took him ten years to unify.

That wasn't due to patience. It was due to a lack of ambition.

So what if he was 'The Man' at SMW?

Roy was considered 'The Man' across all divisions, for almost a decade.

But you weren't watching him back then.
