Would shatter Wilders Glass all over the mat.
Pricey is the hardest punching heavyweight behind wladmir.
Wilder was stopped in the amateurs by a guy half his size
Put on his ass by sconiers and 500lb nichols.

No way would wilder take that fight. Suicide.

I wouldn't be so confident. Price has a glass jaw just like Wilder.

This fight is all about who lands the first solid shot on the other guy's glass jaw.:yep

I think wilder may take a better shot but it doesnt matter as neither could take each others shots. Price is so slow and ponderous like a robot i think wilder would beat him early and im no wilder fan

dont know if thats necessarily so

Thompson was a little wild with his shots, sometimes unorthodox is difficult, just ask Floyd about the first Maidana fight but it felt like Price should never have even been hit by the shots he was hit with and a lot of it was due to poor conditioning

I think Price has the firepower but doesnt know what to do when a guy doesnt stay down and fires back

This is Price's best win, against the beastly punching Russian Islam Timursiev who was the favourite for the gold in Beijing and #1 ranked super-heavyweight in the world IIRC.

    [YT]0Fp22sgloDo[/YT]

Timursiev was a hard SOB too

Here's a list of some of the tournaments he competed in. He has a very high stoppage percentage for an amateur.

    Islam Yahyayevich Timurziev
He added the military world title in 2003, and won the 2004 Russian national title, but only after he helped his national team winning the Nations World Cup by beating Cuban Odlanier Solis (Olympic Champion at 201 lbs) on points. Later that year he was out with cancer, his compatriot Roman Romanchuk participated in the world championships.

In 2006, Timurziev made a comeback claiming the European title with wins over Roberto Cammarelle, Kubrat Pulev and Robert Helenius. At the World Cup in Baku, Timurziev was pulled out by his corner in a rematch by his nemesis Odlanier Solis. This also granted Cuba a 6-5 win of the cup.

    Good resume.

The stoppage was premature as many amateur stoppages are.

Thats prices problem, he punches himself out after 2rounds. Gets over excited when he hurts his man and has nothing left.

Timursiev completely ran out of gas against Solis when his corner pulled him out IIRC. Not seen it in ages though. He was a beast. I would've loved to seen him turn pro.

Romanchuk was a hell of a fighter too. Shame he never turned over either. He shot someone in the head, while drunk IIRC.

Price stopping Tirmursiev, even if he wasn't at his best and the stoppage was a little premature (Timursiev was hurt by that right hand though) was impressive. He was a very tough man so for Price to even drop him like that it says a lot about his power and it is still to this day his most impressive scalp and who knows maybe it might remain that way. I don't think he holds a shot but I do like Price he's a very nice guy and his power is very real.
