    yes that's what happens when cotto fights a guy who wasn't old or injured.trout beat cotto's ass.

    Elite for sure!

    Mayweather,Pacquiao and Cotto are the only elite fighters in the sport today. I highly rank Wald so there could be 4 but thats it

    You think having losses to Margarito, Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Trout, makes one elite?

    4 losses in his last 11 fights, stopped twice, and a case can be made he lost to Clottey as well.

    Dont think that makes a fighter elite.

    i laugh every time they bring up the trout fight. seems that he cannot perform better than that for some reason

    its like paul williams would never perform better than quntana 1
    barrera cannot perform better than pacquiao 1
    maidana with morales
    paulie with hatton
    morales with raheem
    canelo with alfonso gomez

    seems to me that each of these guys went on to have better performances later in their careers against good names.

    why can't cotto do the same?

    I think Cotto has very good footwork, hand speed, technique. Decent punching power. Average beard and ring IQ.

    Verdict - Good.
