i agree but sadly it will never happen , forum averages about 30 new threads a day on a fight that is probably never gonna happen , i think the forum would crash if it ever gets announced .

Against either guy, who would you enlist as sparring partners? I think both are tricky as it's difficult to find guys to effectively emulate either Pac or Floyd.

    Floyd Preparing for Pacquiao

    • Amir Khan (to get acclimated to handspeed, in n' out movement)
    • Zan Judah (southpaw w/ speed)
    • Marcos Maidana (awkwardness and angles, maybe?)
    Pacquiao Preparing for Floyd

    • Erislandy Lara (for spacing and distance?)
    • Chris Algieri (he's a classic boxer)
    • Timothy Bradley (for necessary roughness)

I think it would be really hard to find a sparring partner to prepare for either. Because with Mayweather, now that he's getting older its not so much his skills that get you, but his ability to adapt and take away whatever it is you are doing best at that moment. And with Pacquiao, i think it would be almost impossible to implore the speed and reletless aggression. Which coincidentally is the reason why a fight between the 2 is so interesting.

Interesting as well, I think 2 Pac victims would make for good preparation for Floyd...

Pacquiao's been sparring for Floyd Mayweather his past two fights, haha! Chris Algieri was used as Maidana's sparring partner for Mayweather... used for the jab, excessive movement, etc. Though, I don't think Algieri wouldn't want to be in the same ring with Pacquaio again after being obliterated.

So, definitely Zab Judah for Mayweather. This is funny too because Algieri used Zab in preparation for Pacquaio as well.

Zab Judah would also be such a great partner for Pacquaio. I actually think Mayweather fights the way Judah does now more so than how he did back in 2005, 2006. Judah likes the jab to the body, is fast, pot shots from a distance. Only thing is Judah's a southpaw, and he is a huge supporter and friend of Floyd.

Idk for Pacquiao. I would say Algieri and Bradley as well, but he's already fought them. I'm sure Bradley would be willing to spar with Manny, but I'm not so sure about Algieri. Asking Algieri to spar Pacquiao would be like pouring salt on a still fresh wound, haha.

Amir Khan would be great for Pacquaio. Get Pac used to a long stiff jab and speed. Khan does throw combination, but he likes to move and clinch a lot. Reason why I think he could be a good sparring partner once again. And Devon Alexander is another good example. Idk, it's going to be hard for both of them.

that would be great IF khan would do it, doubt it.
pac is all about the speed but he fights in the same exact rhythm every second of every round. I don't think he is smart enough in the ring to change it or he would have long ago,

his rhythm is too easy for Floyd, its just getting used to the speed, but jmm can counter that speed of course Floyd can.

and way more important than speed is timing, timing nullifies speed, no matter how fast one is. why pac is at such a disadvantage vs Floyd and the reason the only chance he has is a punchers chance is because Floyd unseen before timing and his reach advantage over pac. just a really bad style match for pac.

that's really why I don't see this as competitive, style is so bad for pac and that's why khans style is so bad for Floyd. he is longer (I think both are 72") but he is a couple inches taller which does add length, so floyds timing and skill will possibly even it out vs khan but his age now, khan in his physical prime, bigger longer and stronger than a 38 yr old Floyd..

khan now working with hunter, he doesn't over commit like he used too, and he is very defensive minded, which he was ALL offense which just leaves endless openings. khan with roach Floyd mops the flppr with, this khan, I see him beating Floyd by 116/112 ish

I see Floyd stopping pac anytime after round 4 ish.
he'll have the timing by then and pac will hate clean right hands off the chin.

for pac to have any real chance what so ever he needs to fight a completely different style than he has been for what 60+ fights. that stutter steps throwing 2 useless jabs then over committing with the straight left is disaster written all over it. that was got him ko'd vs jmm. I figured he would change it following that put he did nothing of the sort. all the did was become way too hesitant, he didn't change anything except he attacks half as much now
