Does a 41 year old JMM actually owe Pac anything? Ala a 5th fight?

Note: JMM is battling a serious knee injury atm and his return is still up in the air, no one knows whether or not he'll even fight again.

    2. They already fought 4 times and JMM bested him at least 3/4 times. JMM beat him very very decisively in 3 and 4.

    3. JMM has said himself that honor is the most important thing to him, way more important than any money.

    4. They both said before the 4th fight that no matter what happens, it would be their last. So why is Roach/Pac calling him a wussy for not taking a rematch? :think

    5. Everyone loves to claim that Pac was gracious enough to give him a rematch after #2. But that took 4 years and the ONLY reason why there was the 3rd fight was because they had nobody else to fight and JMM was the biggest money fight out there besides Floyd.

Agreed he clearly won the third and fourth. He doesn't owe Pac a rematch, if Pac knocked him out, pac****s would be laughing at JMM fans asking for a rematch.

As much as a JMM fan I am, I still think a rematch is reasonable, but not necessary. It would however only adds to their legacy and in no way would it diminish it.

Would beating an injury plagued 41 year old Marquez really add to his legacy? I think not.

He will probably be 42 by the time the rematch comes along if it happens.

If Pac wants another fight Marquez should make him wait for 4 years just like Pacquiao did to Marquez.

Pac gave him 3 rematches, and 2 of which JMM hired Memo Heredia to get on PEDs. That was the only way he could finally get one win. The juan****s may worship their god, but everyone else discredits this win from the obvious steroid use.

Still doesn't hurt his legacy. JMM is still ranked p4p and has a conclusive victory over Pac. If Pac beats JMM then he finally beats his boogey man and another ranked opponent. Pac has 2 things JMM wants, huge pay day and a title that enhances his legacy of winning titles in 5 weight classes.

I'd rather see JMM go the route of fighting Brook, but Brook isn't well known, low pay, and isn't highly regarded opponent at this point.

The fight won't mean jack anymore, JMM took a loss after he beat Pac and he's looked rather pedestrian vs Alvarado.

He's also damaged his knee horribly and no one knows if he'll even be back.

He'll also be 42 years old, won't really mean anything any more. As for the p4p list argument, does he even deserve to be on it anymore? Not many people think so. What has he done in the last 1-2 years to justify having him on there?

I don't think he does. He dominated the last 2 fights in style.
Considering he thinks he also won the first 2, I think JMM would be happy to call it a day.

Ha, that seems more like your issue. Honestly it doesn't matter if it happens or not. JMM does not owe Pac the fight, but it's still a 5th title and for Pac it's revenge. That would be their motivation and frankly the motivation of their fan bases. Each side wants to one up the other.

As far as p4p rankings, it's all political and the rankings have been in a funk for the past few years with all the ducking and dodging. Pac and JMM haven't fought a real welter for many years now. Brook, Porter, and Thurman are real welters, but they are also unproven. So it's hard to tell what would happen when they all face each other.

Pac made Juan a rich man and gave him all the rematches he wanted. Juan's blatant cheating, his whining, and his refusal to give Manny even one rematch just shows how classless Juan is.

arum wanted a 4th fight because there was no definitive winner in the previous 3 fights and the public deserved that

the 4th fight is about as definitive as you can get. if pac wants a rematch he is going to have to pay marquez alot more for it now (and rightfull so, marquez earnt it)

If it was done immediately after Pac-Rios it would've made *some* sense.
    No it's just sh%t.

Who wants to see a fifth? Marquez seems to barely have dudes digits in closely contested bouts including ktfo6. Both are on gear, so I'm not buying well Marquez only did it on gear, all elites and even gatekeepers have help. Don't care if manny knocks him out in the 5th fight or wins, I don't wanna see it at all, just my take.
