Tyson from Holyfield fights vs Bowe from Golota fights. Who takes it? Both weren't in their primes, Tyson wasn't the same man he was in 80's. Bowe has declined, too. I think Tyson wins although it won't be an easy fight as Bowe was very, very tough.
Pick 'em fight. I'll tell you what, if Tyson doesn't get him out of there right quick, Bowe will stop him, because Bowe was way tougher and had much better conditioning. Given Rid****'s height, reach, and power, he has more than a good chance to blast Tyson out of there. However, Rid**** didn't move, didn't grab, and was not as fast as Tyson, so that would favor Mike early. But like I said, if Tyson doesn't get him quick, then it's curtains for Mike. Bowe was a big, strong, powreful dude who could take a licking and keep on ticking. But you never know how someone like that will react when in against a really fast explosive starter like Tyson.
Bowe all day long, 2x on Sunday, Tyson was stopped in 11 by Holyfield in 96, Im guessing Bowe gets him outta there in 5 or 6... Tyson in 1996, was as predictable as the day is long, come straight foward load up and throw em, no plan B, because if plan A dosent work we will probably be stopped by the ref, (DQ):conf Bowe, at 6-5 250, to Tyson 5-10 220, too damn big, too good a jab, and has a better chin than Tyson, and Tyson never had stamina.. Tyson in 96 didn't care about boxing anymore, he just needed to make money to feed his coke, hooker, and 200 thousand dollar watches, 10 million dollar mansions, and quarter Million dollar Lamborghinis, dude threw away money like water, and admitted in his book that in 2007, he was counting his grocery items with a calculator at Wal Mart because he wasn't sure if he had enough money..
i would have to agree with this / but bowe was so hitable by 96 man/ but i mainly agree with this :deal
Tyson wasn't the same and Bowe was a faded force too by that stage as we can see his performances drop off. Tyson may stop Bowe if we go by the Herbie Hide fight and ask if Bowe. Then again Bowe may have got in shape for once against Tyson and his uppercuts inside could be the perfect foil for Tyson. It could be Bowe could just outbrawl him because he was so good inside and at mid range. It's a pick em, I'm not really sure but if Tyson hasn't got him out of there by 5 or 6 rounds Bowe should take over.
The first few posters here seem under the impression that the fight is peak Bowe versus '96 Tyson. Bowe in 1996 was gone. As in he had nothing left. The Tyson who mauled Bruno hurts the '96 Rid**** Bowe too. Rid**** barely made the robotic Andrew Golota miss a punch in their fights. His reflexes had dulled so dramatically it was sad to see.
I think if the fight had gone down in 1996 Bowe would've been motivated and came in ready to fight. Tyson would be ready to and it would make for a good fight. Hard to say how it goes... I could see Tyson getting a real fast start and putting a hurting on Bowe a early round stoppage isn't out of the question but its unlikely though I could see Tyson doing enough in the mid to late rounds of the fight to win a decision if he carries the early rounds. But if Tyson doesn't have a good start and especially if Bowe does then I see trouble for Tyson. Once doubt gets into Tyson's mind especially early in the fight I think he'd be in big trouble with Bowe who when on was a very consistent fighter from round 1 through 12. I think if Bowe gets a good start he carries it throughout the fight and eventually takes Tyson out late probably around the 10th round.
Any version of Bowe was way too hittable for Tyson. Bowe makes it competitive, but Tyson stops him. Thing with Holyfield was he fought a much smarter fight against Tyson, Holyfield was more weary of Tysons power than he was of Bowes. Bowe would happily stand there and let Tyson tee off on him and try and trade with him, this would be his downfall. If Bowe comes to box, then things will be a lot tougher for Tyson, but we all know Bowe didn't fight like that. Lets go by the Hide fight, Hide a mediocre fighter went how many rounds with Bowe 5-8? I cant remember. In Bowes own words Hide had him out on his feet. Tyson takes Bowe out
Bowe by this point was incapable of getting in shape. Tyson showed enough fire power in the opening rounds of the Holyfield fight to take tubby out of there.
Bowes strong chin and durability would see him through an early Tyson onslaught. He'd man handle Tyson and take him apart with his superior inside work, stoppage in the later rounds IMO.
I agree. 96 Tyson would wreck Bowe. Bowe was done by then. Tyson was still near his peak physically, but he started fighting like a loose cannon. Tyson's career may have turned out much differently had he not fought Holyfield (and avoided 90s Lewis).
Are we talking about the same blob/zombie from the Golota fights? That guy isn't man handling his own junk, let alone Tyson, who was still coming at Holyfield strong in the late rounds.
Yeah Zombie Bowe would man handle Tyson with ease, since when was that hard to do?? All Tyson was doing late against Holyfield was being a come forward punchbag....
