After Broner will have lost another couple times, he'll be chasing Paquiao and Mayweather :-(

So Manny looking for a slick sparring partner and Floyd hired a southpaw (to start right away).

Looks like they may have come to agreement and just staying quiet to build the suspense.

So, I guess it doesn't matter when opponent's say it's difficult to hit Floyd because Pacquiao is faster than all opponent's Floyd has ever fought, or at least, that's what your logic implies?

WOW. You just discredited your entire argument and anything else you say about Algieri. Thanks for being honest about it though.

Idk. Maidana landed more punches on Floyd than any other opponent Floyd has faced. For sure Pacquiao couldn't land on a prime Floyd, but Floyd isn't prime anymore. In fact, he has now become increasingly hittable, almost worryingly so when we look at his past 2 fights. And we are dealing with current day versions of these fighters. May would've easily beat Pac 5 years ago, but things are a whole lot different now.

Really? How so? I've never seen this from Floyd ever, please provide some evidence to support your claim. I've seen Floyd cover up during flurries, but I've never seen him throw a punch during a speedy opponent's combination and not get hit.

Pacquiao does have an inside game, he just doesn't use it very often because he doesn't need to, like Floyd. Pacquiao likes to fight from a distance and just use his in and out footwork to close distance then get back out. Pacquiao most likely won't even need to use an inside game unless Floyd starts clinching. However, no one has ever had success clinching Pacquiao, so I don't think it'll be a factor.

Also, Floyd goes to the ropes when he is being swarmed. Watching the Ortiz fight, Zab Judah. Especially against southpaws, he'll throw up his high guard and walk back in a straight line till he hits the ropes. Walking back in straight lines is a deadly mistake though which Floyd has got to work on when he faces Pac because he's done it in majority of his fights. Just watch the first Marquez fight and see what happens when you walk back in straight lines against Pacquiao... Floyd can't do that.

Once again, I'm not comparing SKILLS, I'm comparing styles. And Algieri has shown pieces of his style that resemble some of Floyd's.

Except for the fact that Durant has way better mid-range jumper. Of course, Durant needs to work on his post-up game which Lebron would have the advantage in. But, if Kevin Durant stayed in the back court, he'd have the advantage. They're both all time greats, and it would be close. Lebron is a better defender, but Kevin Durant has a size advantage and has a better offense.

And also, Matt Barnes has and does nothing that would be close to resembling Lebron except that they're both small forwards. A better comparison for an Algieri to Mayweather would be like a Khawhi Leonard, who uses some similar attributes that Lebron has but isn't nearly as skilled.

But, I'm digressing so much. You had to bring up basketball though, and that's my favorite sport...so, I couldn't help myself.

#MayweatherPacquiao threat level remains orange but recent tremors in the force have me ready to make drastic move to red if/when necessary.

He also retweeted a tweet by @beeson7 which shows what the different colours represent. Red meaning: "Severe - fight is 100% done"

This video is a year or so old but just saw it.
Basically its Floyd trying to discredit Oscar's win over Genaro claiming Oscar only beat him because Genaro came into the fight with a broken nose.
Now I know Floyd says Genaro was his greatest victory, and probably doesn't sit well that Oscar beat the undefeated, prime version of Genaro, but Floyd has the audacity to try to manipulate fans and discredit Oscar's win. Regardless if Genaro had a broken nose, which from what I saw Oscar was the one who broke it DURING the fight around the 6th round from a big uppercut, but Oscar was still dominating the hell out of him before that anyway and was genaro's decision to quit. Floyd never ceases to lie and act like a jackass.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6VXf7ATWqk

Listen to Floyd t 7:10 mark. Saying how he thought nobody could beat Genaro ...

again, simple concept - many thought castillo won, decision was controversial so Floyd had to face him again to prove he could beat him without any question marks.

and no i'm not wrong. What do you think i mean by out punching? just throwing punches? that would be silly, i'm talking about LANDING punches. 174 power punches LANDED vs 60 LANDED is just a massive difference that usually cannot be explained by pointing out that Castillo landed 100 more power punches on just a few rounds, the rest Floyd won. Catch my drift? you will be hard pressed to find any fight where the winner (barring KO) landed 100 less power punches, try it...

Someone from Pacquiao's team have mentioned two potential sparring partners they are looking at. Here's what I was told:

The first is Ronnie Austion and the other is Lydell Rhodes. Ronnie has never sparred with Manny, but Lydell did for the Bradley fight.

I have to say...I couldn't think of a sparring partner that would be great for Manny, but Ronnie would be PERFECT. My jaw dropped open when I saw him!

Let me know what you guys think! Of course you'll never find someone exactly like Floyd or Manny, but would Ronnie not be the perfect sparring partner for Pacquiao? Probably the best you could do! Rumor has it he was making easy work out of everyone in the gym!

Search these vids on youtube of Ronnie Austion. Extremely impressive.

Search this kid youtube, one sparring Lydell Rhodes and another of Shawn Porter.

Lydell Rhodes (14-0 7 KO's) sparring prospect Ronnie Austion at the Mayweather Boxing Club

Shawn Porter (20-0-1, 14 KO's) continues sparring, w/ Ronnie Austion at the Mayweather Boxing Club

The fact that Hernandez is considered one of Floyd's greatest wins and is a no-big-deal kinda of victory for DLH says it all.

    Oscar>>FLoyd.
