How does he manage to stand up when he has no spine???

Are there any other examples in history of spineless individuals that can stand up?

What you're saying is akin to saying Marquez and Floyd are both counter-punchers. While it is true they both are counter-punchers, their respective approaches couldn't be any more different, which makes the original statement, while true, meaningless in the context it is so often used with regards to Pacquiao.

You're doing the same sort of thing here.

While it might be true that a few "pieces" of Algieri's style "resemble" "some" of Floyd's style, that hardly endorses the context of what you're clearly trying to insinuate.

No, it does. Pieces of Algieri's style resembles some of Floyd's. I saw Algieri use the jab from a distance and the philly shell at some points. Is this meant to say it'll be the exact same way if Pacquiao fights Floyd? No! That's why I said take Algieri as a glorified sparring partner if anything.

Obviously what I'm saying means something if fighters are using Algieri as a sparring partner in preparation for Mayweather.

I know. My friend texted me saying he's a potential sparring partner for Pacquiao, and I really didn't expect anything. But when I looked him up, my jaw dropped open. The parrying with the jab, movement...it was insane. This kid is only 20!!!! It got me a little excited for the next generation of boxers. He was seriously good. You know how Kobe studied Jordan so much that he is now like a shadow of Jordan in the way he moves, shoots, and his etiquette on the court? I felt Ronnie is that way with Mayweather. You can tell he wants to fight JUST like him, and he did a pretty d**** good job.

Absolutely everything you said is true.. My only problem is that I never liked Kobe.. I live in Chicago so I'm a lifetime Bulls fan...

D.Rose? I'm from Memphis, so he was huge here whenever he played for the Tigers. My mom ran into him at the Pizza place Milano's that we have here. Lol

If only those ****roaches in the movie Mimic existed in real life, then Manny could find a proper sparring partner. If they do exist, then I'm sure Floyd is a mimic. All Pac has to do then, is to find the real Floyd Mayweather.

WOW. You just discredited your entire argument and anything else you say about Algieri. Thanks for being honest about it though.

Idk. Maidana landed more punches on Floyd than any other opponent Floyd has faced. For sure Pacquiao couldn't land on a prime Floyd, but Floyd isn't prime anymore. In fact, he has now become increasingly hittable, almost worryingly so when we look at his past 2 fights. And we are dealing with current day versions of these fighters. May would've easily beat Pac 5 years ago, but things are a whole lot different now.

Really? How so? I've never seen this from Floyd ever, please provide some evidence to support your claim. I've seen Floyd cover up during flurries, but I've never seen him throw a punch during a speedy opponent's combination and not get hit.

Pacquiao does have an inside game, he just doesn't use it very often because he doesn't need to, like Floyd. Pacquiao likes to fight from a distance and just use his in and out footwork to close distance then get back out. Pacquiao most likely won't even need to use an inside game unless Floyd starts clinching. However, no one has ever had success clinching Pacquiao, so I don't think it'll be a factor.

Also, Floyd goes to the ropes when he is being swarmed. Watching the Ortiz fight, Zab Judah. Especially against southpaws, he'll throw up his high guard and walk back in a straight line till he hits the ropes. Walking back in straight lines is a deadly mistake though which Floyd has got to work on when he faces Pac because he's done it in majority of his fights. Just watch the first Marquez fight and see what happens when you walk back in straight lines against Pacquiao... Floyd can't do that.

Once again, I'm not comparing SKILLS, I'm comparing styles. And Algieri has shown pieces of his style that resemble some of Floyd's.

Except for the fact that Durant has way better mid-range jumper. Of course, Durant needs to work on his post-up game which Lebron would have the advantage in. But, if Kevin Durant stayed in the back court, he'd have the advantage. They're both all time greats, and it would be close. Lebron is a better defender, but Kevin Durant has a size advantage and has a better offense.

And also, Matt Barnes has and does nothing that would be close to resembling Lebron except that they're both small forwards. A better comparison for an Algieri to Mayweather would be like a Khawhi Leonard, who uses some similar attributes that Lebron has but isn't nearly as skilled.

But, I'm digressing so much. You had to bring up basketball though, and that's my favorite sport...so, I couldn't help myself.
