Byrd won by technicality. It is not possible for Byrd to win the fight if Vitali just ran.

If he thought he could have, he would have.

Byrd walked him down and forced him into the most embarrassing quit job in HW title history.

So you are going to tell me that one of the best chins ever in HW history was being walked down by hard-hitting Chris Byrd?

    Doesn't make any sense.

Yet that is exactly what happened.

He was also rag dolled around the ring by a pudding fisted Chisora.

No sh!t. Byrd lucked out that Vitali injured his shoulder early in the fight. Otherwise Byrd would have lost that fight. He was losing big when the fight stopped which was why he was jumping around like he won the lottery when it did.

Yeah he was scared of Byrd, no matter he won 8 of 9 rounds in 1 of the judge scorecards and 7 of 9 on the two others.
Some guys are so delusional, that is just not real.
Some of you are probably never step into the gym .... Waist and shoulder injuries are worst. You get one, you better stop right there, or you risk your entire career, or atleast chronic problem, which is big.
Klitschko, was later diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff ......
This is sport and like every sport injuries happen. In football for example we can often see that player stretched tendon on the thigh even without contact ...
    So they also quit ?
Use some simply logic for god sake ...

And Charr was about to knock Vitali out until the paid off doctor charged in and stopped the fight.

    Why was the fight stopped?

The fight was stopped because of a cut. Yeah, I agree with Merchant it was probably stopped too soon. I was enjoying watching Vitali kick his ass but Charr wasn't going to win that fight unless one of Vitali's knees blew out like Solis' did.

So you'll agree Vitali should have been stopped earlier than the 6th against Lewis?
Since Vitali had cuts and facial damage 100 times worse than than what Charr had , yet Vitali fought on?

It was a serious cut so I can't complain they stopped that one too early. Lewis was lucky to score such a serious cut so early in the fight. Not as lucky as Byrd was but pretty lucky.

I would have had no problem with the Charr fight continuing. I was disappointed it stopped so soon. I wanted to see Charr get knocked out properly.

He was never knocked down in 47 professional fights (17 world title fights).

Besides McCall and Chuvalo who else has done this? They aren't even champions. Vitali is the only HW Champ to never get floored.

    Numbers don't lie.

I wasn't a serious cut at all. 100's of fighters fought and won with worse cuts and injuries.

If Lewis was 'lucky' to score an early cut , then Vitali was lucky to beat Charr too right?
This is what you are telling me.

Vitali wasn't knocking out any Charr. He looked awful and was gassed out horribly after 4 rounds.

So Vitali was lucky to beat Charr , yes?

tko6 saved vitali from a brutal ko7 against the only real threat he ever faced in his career.
