Joe Louis, in his grave, could show good defense against the level of TOMATO CAN Golovkin has been in the ring with.

Call me when the Triple Duck fights someone with a pulse...

Exactly. Rigo is slick and focuses on defense but he also puts himself in poor situations. GG just tries to end the match before any big mistakes happen, opponents haven't been able to deal with it = winning.

What top fighters have tried to make a fight with GGG and have been ducked by GGG?

What about someone like Andrade, he still fits the criteria. Maybe Floyd?

Golovkin would be the biggest, strongest fighter Mayweather would have ever faced. Floyd will be *38* in a few weeks. I don't like his chances in this fight. If Mayweather were 30 instead of 38 I'd probably pick him to UD Golovkin.

Andrade needs to beat somebody with a pulse before I'd pick him over the Triple Duck...

When you have an offence like GGG you can get away with some deficiencies in your D. The reason nobody has come close to testing GGG is he is darn close to elite now and will certainly attain elite level status before he is done.

He needs to do what he's doing now to be elite.

Weird thing. Americans are known to love offensive, front foot fighters who knock their opponents out at the first chance. They knock defensive fighters for their style and yet... their housestyle is defensive and call offensive fighters face first brawlers with bad defence who would be "schooled" when facing a stick and move, technically sound opponent. :blood

No slick boxer can beat Golovkin, not one of them.

    Dream on...

Lara would get snapped, and Ward is not a slick boxer he's an inside mauler.

Seems like you need a shoulder roll or Pernell Whitaker style evasion skills to be classed as a good defensive fighter on these forums! Golovkin's footwork is what sets him apart in todays game his judgment of distance is near perfect and this is where having a solid defense comes from!
