Rigo and Lara have amazing footwork. It makes me sad that people think two guys standing there just beating the **** out of each other is the pinnacle of boxing and Lara "is boring and only runs away".
If you want to watch two cavemen try to give each other brain damage go watch MMA.

He's abandoned his post because his "bait and run" tactic worked to his satisfaction. He's climaxing as we type. :scaredas:

    .............

He gets a rise out of "working everyone up" then leaving them high and dry once the discussion gets going. He feels like the bigger person, like he "won". :!:

Yes, that's why I said it's quite flawed, I mean against Marquez he was consistently off-balance. The way he creates angles and combo punches is quite incredible though and the general springyness of his step.

Lol so it looks like we think it's either really good or really bad. Safe to say that his amazing footwork comes with a price. Golovkin's footwork is much better, he never appears off balance, he can actually cut off the ring and is always in position to attack. Pacquiao's angles come from his awkward footwork which is only effective because of his speed.

this i will agree with, especially in the amateurs.. its pathetic how long some guys train for and they come for an interclub and your sitting there thinking "did this guy ever give any thought to training footwork?"

but its really not their fault, as the amateurs over here dont even score the jab unless it fully snaps the head of an opponent back, its a ****ing disgrace really.. i can jab a guy all night and keep him off balance and lost in there but it all counts for next to nothing :-( and the worst part is years down the track you want to turn pro and you practically have to forget alot of how you were taught to fight and learn how to fight in the pros

Rigo's foot work isn't as good as people make out. He's fast on his feet and clever but seems to make mistakes more often than he should for someone with "unreal" footwork, just look at the knockdown against Amagasa where he had his feet square, heck you'd be amazed how many times Amagasa was getting his lead foot outside of Rigondeaux's.

It's good but no where near the "unreal" level that some people put it on.

its very rare to see a fighter to do footwork training as much as he hits the heavy bag.............no point in doing that if you can not get in the best positions to land them blows............

Freddie roach places big importance in footwork training........

If Pac had great footwork he would not have tripped over himself before getting KTFO by Marquez.
