Fight needs to happen for his sake. His reputation and legacy is on the line.

    Definitely is.

If he never fights Manny he can forget about retiring undefeated and living off of that. His legacy will be defined by him avoiding the fight.

It'd be better if it was announced then or before, imo, if it's secretly a "done deal" at this point. The TNT crew would be talking about it the entire weekend(particularly Barkley) giving them free publicity and every day that passes without a deal is one where the fans are losing interest thinking it's just another repeat of past negotiations.

i get the impression Pacquiao is clueless. He always seems like he doesn't know what's going on. Arum, Floyd, Haymon, Plepler and Espinoza are the ones that really know what's going on.

TRhis is now beyond ridiculous. If everyone of the key players really want this deal, it should've been agreed to a long time ago. Someone is making things difficult and it's difficult to ascertain who it is. Arum has little motivation to stop this fight at this point in his career and life. He has publicly stated he's tired of everyone asking him about this fight and just wants it done and he has said they have agreed to all demands, no-one has disputed this. It can't be Arum. This is either Al Haymon and Floyd making this difficult or Espinoza/Plepler...

What's making this difficult is this re****ed A side vs B side BS. Showtim and Floyd consider themselves the A side so they are making demands which are probably constantly changing and creating problems. If everyone would just accept equal position, fight would be made by now. Both networks broadcast it live (PPV) and both networks broadcast the re-play, no stupid need to have one network win over the other one.. Same with Floyd/Manny, just freaking make equal terms on everything...

It's remarkably stupid to make this an A vs B side cause it makes things much more difficult (one side trying to squeeze the other), everyone wins if they accept equal terms... Floyd would still get 3 times more $$ if he accepted 50/50... No-one can convince me that Haymon, Floyd and Espinoza are not the ones making this difficult, it's clear as night and day.

I'm not sure why showtime would want to hold up the fight, but they do work with floyd, and their joint interests. I suspect though, as im influenced by rafaels take... That floyd has the final say on this fight and Holds the most power.

At this point if he doesn't make tis fight happen, it's going to blow up in his face, even if it's in September... The entire world is getting fed up. Again all the facts will come out who was the main impediment, but right now the world is looking at floyd.

yes, Floyd is the one with the most influence. AL Haymon's influence cannot be underestimated.

It's simple. Arum and Plepler aren't going to let Espinoza, Haymon and Floyd squeeze all the $$ out of the them. Pacquiao's PPV have been close to Floyd's and he was once considered pound for pound best even when Floyd was fighting. I'm sure that showtime is trying to get the better deal (like only ones to re-play the fight) and obviously Floyd is asking for advantageous terms. This is a sign he doesn't really want this fight that bad, he doesn't need 60/40 or any other favorable terms... even 50/50 he'll make much more money than he has ever made, by far.

Are you talking about how much Pac owes the tax bureau and IRS? I've already proved this fallacy wrong.

I don't see this fight doing much better than the Canelo fight. Remember Floyd had like a 80/20 split for that. When he fights Pac he gets 60/40 not to mention Floyd loses out on PPV royalties. And PPV has to be split between HBO/SHO too? It's not rocket science son. The Canelo fight favored Floyd/SHO much more in revenue.

Not sure where you're pulling these numbers out of your bum from. You act like this is going to be a big money fight for Floyd when it will probably come 2nd to Canelo. Will this fight even beat the Canelo fight in revenue for either network since they have to split revenue?

Listen, you lil bltch. You ain't got a damn thing to say because I just spoke the COLD HARD TRUTH.

If Mayweather doesn't take this fight, he will not be able to walk the street without someone throwin disrespect.

When he runs out of his money and he doesn't have bodyguards, he's gonna take an ass beatin.

    Is it right???

    I can't say that.

But it's life. Life ain't about that ****.

Some real gansters are gonna get ahold of his ass and beat the hell outta him.

I'll give him credit and say he has some fight in him, but I can tell you this, Pacquaio wouldn't have walked away from 50 cent with a loss on his record.

    Pac is a real G.

It's too bad you can't see it. You will, if Floyd ever signs that contract.

Well until that time, bask in the truth.

    The truth hurts.

THIS NEEDS to be a sticky.

This is what the WRITERS need to be saying.

Pac is human. He could lose his next fight. He could retire.

He could say, the hell with Mayweather, I already tried and the dude wouldn't fight.

At the end of the day, the only outcome that matters is did Mayweather agree to fight Pacquaio.

If he never does and the fight never takes place, Mayweather really ain't about that money.

Because no intelligent man would risk LOSING that much money, especially if he was confident he would win.

Say Mayweather beats Pacquaio convincingly. Mayweather could go on to fight Cotto for the middleweight championship and make a hell of a lot of money doing that.

Suppose Mayweather gets his ass whupped, which he will. He makes a hell of a lot of money and still can set up the rematch.

It's not that hard to figure out.

    Use your BRAIN.

Pac and Arum want no part of Mr.Mayweather. That fact is irrefutable.
