May 22nd apparently, If povetkin wins surely he gets a Klitchko rematch. :think I cant think of anyone who deserves it more, even though it was a terrible fight. It will be better the second time, im sure of it. But perez vs povetkin will be the final eliminator for wilder's WBC title. [yt]TDA00NwcrCY[/yt] ''Every name in the top 10, boy get ready because you all got to meet em'' So wilder is ready to take on the winner of povetkin and perez. :deal
If Povetkin beats Perez aswell, then he's made one hell of a turn around, considering not long ago he fought the likes of shot to **** Rahman, Cedric Boswell and struggled badly vs Huck. His resume would be nothing short of impressive imo.
Povetkin will be mandatory to Deontay Wilder if he wins this one. I don't think he's going the Klitschko route yet.
Yes it would make far more sense for Povetkin to pick up Wilder's WBC belt before facing Wlad. He'll have something to bargain with then in negotiations and get a bigger purse against Wlad than without a title. Povetkin has really impressed me since losing to Wlad. He was over protected before but once the 0 went he's looked for the tough fights to force a rematch. Charr, Takam and now Perez. He's made a very strong case to be the clear number 2 especially if he beats Perez. I wish more heavyweights now had the same mentality as Povetkin in testing themselves. He's proof that even in an era dominated by a clear champion good contenders like him can carve out a name for themselves. The line that Wlad and Vitali dominated so much that it made the era look weak has been disproven by Povetkin. Povetkin is clearly under the shadow of Wlad but he's proven himself as a capable heavyweight in any era.
IF Wilder fights the winner of this fight then I'll make a special thread to praise him / Da Tuscaloosa's Bronze Bomber Deontay Leshun Wilder.:yep
Povetkin has done well, I hated him for putting off that fight with klitschko for ages, he gave it a good go. But fair play to the man he's worked his way up against some stiff opposition this man deserves another shot! And a fight with wilder really wets the appetite!
Povetkin doesn't want a rematch, what can he do differently? He wants a belt he can keep warm in Russia.
Brighton bomber, Povetkin always wanted to fight the best, it was his managers (Team Sauerland) that overprotected him (he had to fight Firtha, Oruh, Wawrzhyk, pensioners like Boswell and Rahman etc.)/ Now that he was signed by Riabinsky he's matched pretty well. Charr of course is limited and talentless, but still a decent opponent in the 1st fight after loss. And Takam is a top-10 fighter now.
left hand - pearl harbour. No, doesnt put enough into it. right hand - hiroshima. yes, hardest right hand behind wlad and price.
I'm not that interested in this fight...I dont think Perez is all that, maybe his countering style troubles Povetkin briefly I'd rather see Povetkin fight tall fighters like Fury, Thompson, Wilder or Wach to prepare for a Wlad fight beating a big heavy He KO'd Takam who deserved the decision vs Perez and should already get the Wilder fight without this unnecessary fight I think its funny how far Takam fell in the ranks after drawing Perez and losing to Povetkin and how little Perez fell after drawing Takam and losing to Jennings
