Pac is a different fighter than Judah.

For one, Pac is going to use aggressive defense. Judah was backing up in the fight for the most part. He mostly managed to counter an aggressive Floyd Mayweather, but he didn't push the action very much.

Granted, Pac is better than Judah at defensive countering too. If Mayweather pushes the fight like he pushed against Judah, this will present amazing countering opportunities that Pacquaio will surely take advantage of.

I hope Mayweather takes an aggressive approach.

But more likely, after Mayweather gets knocked down the first time, he will stop throwing punches.

But when he does, Pacquaio will counter Mayweather on the rare occasions that Mayweather throws a punch and as Mayweather covers up, Pacquaio will step around him and land accurate punch after accurate punch.

This will be an immense beating that Pacquaio puts on Mayweather. Mayweather will literally have to run away from Pacquaio.

Additionally, a lot of moves Mayweather uses against opponents won't work against Pacquaio. Pacquaio will surprise many people with how accurate his punches are against a ducking and often retreating Mayweather.

It will be a beating for the ages.

It will also prove how underestimated Pac is.

Nothing is done until Floyd signs, that is the entire problem -- getting Floyd to sign. We all knew pac would sign. Floyd signing for him means the nightmares start. It will be interesting, IF Floyd signs, how he deals with the stress of knowing the countdown in on. I still stand firm that I will be shocked if this fight even happens.

No one is beating the hell out of anyone in this fight.

Some of these ****ysis are just ridiculously baseless. To compare Floyd back in 2006 to the fighter he is today is just silly. And to try to assess pacman as being a 2008-09 version of himself currently is also baseless.

I'm under the pretense that it's going to be a pretty competitive fight for the most part. I think pacmans height and 5 inch reach disadvantage is going to cause him some trouble, especially with the counterpunches and straight/overhand rights that'll be coming back at him. You could say whatever you want about Floyd, but he's the most accurate puncher paman will have ever faced and also the best counterpuncher by far. These are 2 big time elements that pacman has issues with.

That being said, pacman is still very fast handed and throws punches in unusual angles. Floyd is going to have to fight this guy in order to win, and I think he has all the capabilities in doing so.

Judah was a solid fighter and had similar attributes to pacman at the time he fought foyd, but Floyd figured him out in a couple rounds and beat the hell out of him for the rest of the fight. That's kind of been his MO his entire career, He figures out his opponents by the mid rounds at latest and than begins to pick them apart.

I think both guys have been out of their primes for quite some time, and I don't think either guy is going to beat the hell out of the other one. That's kind of silly to hear people think one of the best defensive fighters in history is going to get mauled by another fighter.

Freddie roach used to say all the time that pacman would KO floyd. Now with the fight looking like its materializing, he's backtracking from his statements and says he knows it's going to be a difficult fight.

I see this a very difficult fight for Mayweather, he may back out of the fight. I just don't know how Mayweather will handle the unique style Manny brings... - high intensity, incredible movement, awkward angles, super fast hands, power and unappreciated defense (aside from JMM who is willing to trade, rarely does Pac get hit).

Joel Diaz (bradley's trainer) and Tim Lane (Algieri's trainer) have both stated how watching Pacquiao on TV vs actually facing him are completely different things. Before the respective fights, they exuded confidence but afterwards, they realized what an A grade fighter Pacqiao is. Joel claimed Bradley was a bit shocked by Pacqiao's intensity and it wore him out physically and mentally. Tim Lane was equally impressed later...

Pacquiao brings a level of aggression and intensity rarely matched, it really takes it's toll on opponents. He is constantly coming at you, from all angles and with really fast hands. He is impossible to prepare for; ALL AGREE on this. Robert Garcia's fighters have faced Manny twice and Mayweather twice and he claims Pac is much harder to prepare for than Mayweather.

I'm not sure what strategy Mayweather will use but if i were Floyd Sr, i would tell Floyd to go for KO. It's very risk to fight conservatively and try outscoring Pacquiao. I don't see this working as well as some think. Pacquiao is extremely difficult to beat by fighting defensively. JMM was willing to trade and get hit; he got beat up virtually on every fight he faced Pacqiao, plus he has much more KO power than Floyd. I don't see floyd trading punches like JMM has and a KO would be hard to produce as he isn't heavy handed.

It's gonna be tough but interesting to see how Floyd will fight Pacquiao. I think Floyd's best chance will be to be aggressive and go for a KO, can he do it? Outscoring Pacquiao who is as fast, throws more from all angles will be a real challenge. Even when Floyd counters, he will get counters cause Pac throws as opponents throw plus he's really good at avoiding punches. I think stylistically, this favors Pacquiao.

The richest match-up in boxing history between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao has finally been agreed after years of haggling.

A source close to the Filipino boxer and congressman revealed to The Sunday Telegraph that Pacquiao completed his contractual agreements on Saturday and that Mayweather is set to sign and will announce the contest which is expected to be worth $250 million (£162 million) in the coming days.

Mayweather was in New York on Friday, buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery, and there are indications that the unbeaten American boxer could even decide to announce the superfight officially at the NBA All-Star Game tip-off, which takes place on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

“Manny has 100 per cent signed his side of the deal,” the source told Telegraph Sport. “It is now over to Mayweather to close the deal and announce the fight.”

Sadly, this has been true for nearly the past 6 years now. Mayweather is still the one holding up this fight and I won't believe it until he stops trying to fool the public and signs the paper.

Its an interesting ****ysis but I don't think you're giving Mayweather the credit he deserves.

I think the only two absolute statements you can make about this fight is that these 2 ATG's will be facing each other several years out of their prime and that this is the best and toughest opposition for each men in their storied careers by FAR.

Both men possess elements in their fighting styles that is going to pose serious problems for one another. It's the classic clashing of styles between a bull and matador and that's what makes this fight so interesting for me.

while I agree with you that floyds going to have to fight this guys for good periods of time and have to exchange with him in order to win, it won't require as much offensive activity as you make it out to be. Manny isn't the same guy he was back in the mid 2000's. He doesn't fight for 2 to 2:30 per round anymore. He has moments where he takes the foot off the gas pedal and he also is known for taking rounds off to recover. So I don't think this incessant pressure will be there on Manny's part unless he finds the fountain of youth and fights the way he did in the mid-late 2000's.

It's going to be a helluva fight if it happens though. I'm a bit on the fence about this fight because these are my 2 favorite active fighters, they really possess the best elements of the fight game--an aggressive speedster and a master technician.

    Been there before.

Will not believe it until both are inside the ring.

Even if Floyd signed the contract, I will not be surprised if he files for call in sick.
