I refuse to get over it. I think we should all keep writing about Joe Calzaghe until he finally decides to make a comeback and beat up those impostors Andre Ward and James DeGale.

You do mean Degale dont you? Who was beaten by Groves who has recently suffered two KO losses and Degale who was looking badly troubled and looking hurt by Wilczewski?
Tell me Degales best win in your opinion?
Watch Herol duck all this and show that he is irrelevant as posters go

I could pick anyone, its irrelevant. you pick on, its that relevant I'll let you do it, and then you can take it apart for me - I'll make it that easy for you! awesome eh?

a top upcomer is what calzaghe does not fight, except on one occasion when the guy was injured and he had no choice since it was joes last fight at smw and he needed some legacy building.

watch failey duck this truth like he did with the previous post.

Yes, Joe Calzaghe (46-0) has better resume at 168 than any other boxer, dead or alive. I must have read hundreds of posts about the subject, and so far nobody have made a sound argument against it.

You can argue that there was better fighters head to head at the weight but head to head is about fantasy fights. Looking at fights that were made, Calzaghe is ahead.

Since you have to write off the narrow win over Bernard Hopkins, Calzaghes third best win all toghether, I don't think the difference between Calzaghes and Andre Wards top wins are big, but there is a difference. Beating a prime Kessler will always be better than beating a faded one, with questionable tactics on top of it. Beating a younger, more accomplished Chris Eubank will always be better that beating a bit older, less accomplished Carl Froch. A similarity between Eubank and Froch is that both only had lost to one other fighter previosuly, in that fashion they are equals.

After the two top wins, Calzaghe takes it the whole way. Besides, Wards resume will be stained by his unwillingness to make fights.

If we are to compare greatness between fighters who fought at 168 all together, Calzaghe is still up there. But I have Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr ahead. Calzaghe was a bit of a joker, both in his underrated ability and when it comes to who he fought. Sometimes he fought average opponents and looked vulnurable, sometimes he stepped up and shined against the cream de la cream. Hopkins and Jones Jr more ofter faced great challenges, and it shows in their resumes.

    This is irrefutable.
