CBS Sports: Akhror Muralimov vs. Derric Rossy RBR

Akhror Muralimov did some training and sparring at my gym prior to his fight with Andrae Carthon.

I expect a big win for Muralimov tonight. Hopefully a nice KO win.

 

Any insight for us?

Kind of bummed he came in so heavy. He turned pro not too terribly long ago at 200 pounds.

But I sound like a broken record. You don't need to look great to be a competent fighter.

 

did u spar him?

 

He sparred with KINGPIN Johnson, Moultrie Witherspoon came from South Carolina to help , Josue Blocus.

Muralimov pretty much manhandled Blocus and Witherspoon. He busted Witherspoon's eyelid bad.

Against Johnson, he used alot of head movement to slip the jab, threw picture perfect uppercuts and uppercut-hook combo. Did well to use his arms to distance himself from the sparring partners and fired crisp long range right hands.

He's deceptively fast and his punches are quite clean from what I've seen. Sucks footage is so scarce on him.

Also, he has 3 or 4 KO wins not listed on boxrec from some tournament in Russia he won fairly recently.

This trimmed down version of Rossy is a handful, so Muralimov had better end it early.
