Rose was all over the place no one should argue about the stoppage.he was smashed all over in his title fight sure his family and friends didn't need to see it again. He says he is not a domestic level fighter well if he really believes that he should pack it in cos he sure ain't winning no world titles

This is boxing. It's an appalling stoppage. The sport is ****ed if it becomes a case of whoever gets hurt first loses.

Nah, twas fine. (I mean, compared with your ordinary groan-inducing premature stoppage by IJL)

Rose wasn't covering up, clinching, punching back, moving out of range. He was just getting licked repeatedly. Kind of behooves the fighter not to give the ref - especially one boasting the reputation of IJL!! :patsch - the ammunition to pull trigger on you.

Yea bang on Rose didn't know where he was when referee stopped fight. Delayed reaction where IJL has his hands on his chest. Eddie Hearn face was a picture :yep.

If a fighter has not got control of his legs how can he defend himself.

What annoyed me was yet another British boxer who storms from the ring after a decision goes against them. Think Rose needs to accept he is domestic level/euro

Thought Mr J Nelson talked a lot of sense post fight.

nah the stoppage was a shocker, admittedly other fights have been stopped in favour of the home (british) fighter with few complaints from sky / boxing press.

the standards of judging and officiating were poor all night. Now there's more money in UK boxing hopefully some additional judges / refs can be found rather that the usual foster / IJL, O'Connor who seem to be involved in most fights.

**** the stoppage, his card in the Arnfield v Hall fight was much worse.

    The man is woefully incompetent.

I'm all for protecting fighters, better halting it one shot too early than one shot too late but I do think this was too early.

Rose was caught cold and was buzzed, his legs had gone 'bambi' + he was starting to take shots without returning fire, BUT at that level (especially in the first round with seconds left..) surely you have to give the fighter a chance???

Rose though, he should have looked to clinch or took a knee to recover.

Before the fight, with Jones coming off the back of a short retirement (which makes you wonder if his hearts still in the game) and going up in weight, I thought Rose would win on points.

On the one hand I do believe it was a premature stoppage.

On the other hand Rose was badly hurt, it was no worse than the Brook vs. Carson Jones 2 stoppage and Rose was given a disgusting decision over Maciel for me, because I felt he clearly lost that one.

All in all, even though things like this are never good for the sport, I am not too upset.

**** yet he's won a British title outright?

Nearly killed a man in the ring which resulted in him losing his next fight because of mental demons but pieced his career back together to win the British title then push on to challenge for a world title.

    Sort yourself out

What i would say about IJL is -aside from his reffing his judging was poor during the prizefighter bouts.no argument with the rose stoppage tho.A bit early in the sense of benefit of the doubt and end of the round-but rose was gone and open to some real neck snappers
