He can knock all the tables over he wants. Maciel behaved gracefully when he was disgracefully robbed against Rose in a fight I had him winning 117-111. Rose was all over the place and while I would not have stopped him I would have had him losing the round 10-8 with 30 seconds left in the round the judges would have probably had him winning the round.

He is not a world class fighter in my opinion and I do believe Jones would have KO'd him somewhere down the line anyway.

Carson Jones is a better fighter than Rose and still yet to have a title shot even though most impartial fans felt he beat Kell Brook in the title eliminator.

Would you not be ****ed off if your livelihood and career had taken a massive dent because of someone else's misjudgment?

Maybe Rose would have gone on to get stopped, but at that level the fighter has to be given a chance.

The man's gone to camp for weeks on end, probably put his family on hold and for what? Not to be given a full chance?

Like someone said in previous thread, imagine a British referee in there for Ward/Gatti, Castillo/Coralles, Barerra/Morales etc.. I'm all for protecting fighters and I do agree it's better to stop a fighter one punch too early than one punch too late, but for **** sake give a fighter a chance.

He still got paid didn't he, and he should've behaved like a man afterwards not a spoiled brat.

Yes it was a bitter pill to swallow and you have to feel for him, but that's boxing / life.

The guy got a gift decision against maciel which gave him an undeserved world title shot, he acted like a tit in the buildup to said title fight (the bit where him and rimmer saw Andrade in the gym a few days before the fightand timer acknowledges and Rose tries to be the hard guy and blanks him), is totally out of his depth in a fight he didn't deserve and then carson Jones clearly ****s him up(should have taken a knee but it was more than 'buzzed' and he didn't get Jones anywhere near as bad despite his claims) - got zero sympathy for him for this as in the bigger picture he should never have gotten to the position he was in and isn't anywhere near to getting back to that level, only one fight out there that would slightly interest anyone and that's liam smith and he loses that and ends up in the next prizefighter

I'd have the class to take it in good grace if I had been the benefactor of a disgraceful decision in a title eliminator like Rose was against Maciel. Would I be angry yes but graceful all the same I have been ripped off with the judges a shake of the head is all I have ever done.

Also in the post fight interview Rose claimed that he had hurt Jones just as much which was clearly untrue. Had it gone the other way he'd no doubt be defending the refferee.

Aside from howard clarke i'm finding it very hard to think of a s hitter british fighter that has fought for a world title.

He's c rap there's no other way of putting it.

The Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight series could have ended in round 1 of the first fight with IJL. He is a terrible refferee no doubt about that but a bit of bad reffereeing couldn't happen against a more deserving person than Rose after the disgustingly biased verdict he got vs. Maciel and tried to act like it was a fair decision.

He's a domestic level boxer and I am sick of Sky trying to force feed him as something else. He did not deserve a title shot, was throughly out classed when he got one and he has not even proven he is the best British fighter and that is very debatable.

Basically a **** version of Tony Bellew and that's saying something because Bellew has never been world class.

Agreed, its hard to feel so bad for him when he robbed Maciel.

Iceferg, he was ashamed of being stopped. That's why he threw his dummy out. The ref did him a massive favour stepping in a few seconds before he got knocked out. Similar to the favour given to Groves in the first Froch fight.

He didn't lose to Maciel. Draw would have been ok. I never have thought he'd beat Liam Smith.

I had Maciel up 117-111 didn't even think it was close. The majority on this forum had Maciel winning too. Clear, clear robbery for me.

The fact is even with an undeserved win over Maciel he had not done enough to warra nt a title fight for me. Carson Jones deserves one a lot more and there are several further up the line at Light Middle.

Brian Rose is not, and never has been, a top 15 fighter at LMW and I think most can agree quite clearly never will be. Andrade is half decent but let's not get carried away Rose was absolutley battered in that fight. Matthew Hatton went 12 with Canelo but he never got hyped up.

Matthew's surname was a double edged sword for him. Certainly opened a lot of doors for him but also led to a lot of unfair criticism.

Solid euro level fighter who wouldn't just lay down for anybody.
