The characters who are saying Hopkins will drop to 168 and school Froch in the UK....

Seem to be the same characters who give Calzaghe no credit whatsoever for moving up to 175 and beating Hopkins in his own back yard 8 years ago.

I rate Joe as the best SMW. I gave him a lot of credit when he beat hopkins in 2008. It still is a very good win, considering everything hopkins still did afterwords...

However, Froch is not NEARLY as good as Joe. I can see Froch being beat by Hopkins... He is not the type of fighter Froch likes to face.

 

But can you not see why Froch see's it as a lose-lose? Even if he was to destroy Hopkins, all he will have done is beat a drained 50 year old in Froch's backyard? And the people currently crticising him for not being keen on the fight at the moment will be the first people to say that.

I think people saying Hopkins is would dominate Froch need to get real. Hopkins looking to cash out and call it a day.

 

Please don't even entertain the thought. Froch v Hopkins will be another snoozefest with Hopkins doing nothing for 11 rounds, then tell the world it's the best fighting the best.

If Calzaghe ha LEGITIMATELY beaten Hopkins & not got a split dec he didn't deserve & had manned up & faced Nard in a rematch in Wales maybe he would have got a little credit. But he didn't he chickened out

 

Calzaghe did legitimately beat Hopkins. If Hopkins had fought like a man and stopped trying to get the fight called off by faking fouls maybe he would've deserved a rematch.

But as it stands, he was about as deserving of a rematch as Karo Murat is with Hopkins.
