Rios is a more polished, harder hitting version of Maidana.

Uh, what has Alexander done, won a robbery over Matheyse and that other Euro kid???

And he completely SHUT Maidana out.

    Rios beat Abril.

    Do you understand the difference?

Rios didn't beat Abril. Abril got robbed that night, plain and simple..probably not enough money to make with the type and style of fighter he is sadly for him.

Rios is not nearly as good as Maidana, that's why Pac picked him after being brutally KO'd. He needed a very hittable punching bag and whose offense is very straight forward. He would never have picked Maidana for his come back after KTFO 6, far less predictable offense and much better defense.

Nothing really changed about Rios just that he looked more impressive being a fast starter instead of a slow one and looked great against a shot fighter. Same like Cotto. Chino did a 180, has his old style, but added a world class jab, can box pretty well, and even more impressive has defense that made Floyd miss. He clearly beat a young, up and coming fighter and almost upset a future atg who's also best in the world today. Rios hasn't done anything close to that, at least not yet.

I'd put money on Maidana to beat Rios at 147. Just IMO.

Maidana's jab is way better than Rios, and Maidana cut off the ring better. Rios only fought bums and when he stepped it up vs pacquiao he was a punching bag.

"Rios is a more polished, harder hitting version of Maidana."

    You have that exactly backwards.

Absolutely not. Maidana hits so much harder it's not even funny. Maidana would kill any version of Alvarado.

Chino would put a beat down on Rios. We all know it.
