The main thing that some folks dont get is Klitschko have a lot more matches, and more matches - more chance of losing ...
How you can even compare a 44 fights to 66 .....
Also Lewis as champion cant stand undefeated for more then 5+ years, Klitschko so far is undefeated for 9 years as Champion, and not to mention he fight and more often then Lewis, which stand better chance of losing .....
Tho the comparison in H2H is different. It could go in either side, depends who land the big pucnh first ...

Lewis avenge lose vs McCall is just simply a disgrace. I mean McCall not even want to fight, was a dead man ....
How good would be if Klitschko pay 10mill. to Purrity to comeback and rematched him right now ?
And loses always stand your record, no matter if avenged or not. And its a complete different thing to fight vs Southpaw.
Lose have less loses, but have 22 matches less also ....
Atleast in my book in ATG list Wlad>Lewis. The thing in H2H is different, youi can make a case for both of them.
When Wlad retires im pretty sure folks wont talk about weak era .... And how the era could be weak only in HW boxing ? There is a plenty of top dogs, but they cant shine, cause of how good Wladimir becomes thanks to Steward.
Era is not weak, Klitschko is just too good. And how long exactly era goes?
Cause Klitschko is fighting for long, long time, so you can make a case he fought in 2-3 eras ....

Whatever one's feelings about Wlad's losses, his style of fighting etc ... it cannot be denied that he is building up a hell of a record. If he beats Jennings, Wilder and Fury, and retires, he will have done enough to have built up a serious ATG record. My guess is that he hangs about for a few more years though.

Then you don't understand the rules of boxing. His opponent wasn't able to continue so his opponent loses the fight. Was it a satisfactory ending? No of course not, that's why this fight still gets talked about over a decade later but according to the rules of boxing it was a win just not a decisive one.

If Lewis didn't win vs Vitali like you say, did Vitali not beat Charr? What about Wlad's win over DaVarryl Williamson when he was dropped yet won on points when stopped due to a cut caused by an accidental headbutt. While I don't think these wins were as decisive as they could have been they are still victories according to the rules of boxing.

    Please avoid making up rules.

Rules says if a fight is stopped due to injury, the fighter ahead on the scorecards is given the victory. This due to the random nature of the injuries.

Hence, according to boxing rules, Vitali won the fight.

If they didn't like that, they could have kep fighting. But apparently they were impatient to halt it, after seeing how lifeless Lummox was when he dropped on his seat like a sack of potato.

They don't say that at all. You are trying to make it up, foolishly if I'm honest. You might as well say Cooper beat Clay then, because at the time of stoppage Cooper was winning on points, having floored Clay in the previous round.

You are confusing injuries caused by either a foul, or a clash of heads, with injuries caused by legitimate punches.

An injury is an injury. There isn't classification.

    There's a distinction.

Injuries caused by accidental head clash will go to the score cards if the fight has to be stopped.

Cuts, fractures and swollen eyes are the result of taking to much punches to the face. Thats how people lose fights.

Vitali took too many damaging punches off Lewis. They weren't accidental . Busting the other guy up with your hands or knocking him clean out is how you win fights.

Vitali knew he needed a knock out soon. He couldn't deliver one.

That is only the case if the the cut the caused the stoppage comes from an accidental head butt. A cut caused by a punch is a legitimate reason fro stopping a fighter resulting in a TKO loss. If you don't even know the rules of this sport you should go watch a sport you do understand.

Where's the link to that specification? I find it hard to believe, since even something like 90% of the cuts are caused by headbutts, accidental or not.
