If it's an El Chicano thread a source should be the first thing anyone asks for unless they've already heard the story somewhere more credible.

He's pulled this kinda stunt time after time.

I won't even get in to how GGG will not beat RJJ Hopkins or Hagler

But how exactly does he beat James Toney who can take punches from Heavyweights, has his own power(not as good as GGG but still dangerous hence the lights out nickname) and better boxing skill? Sanchez is becoming annoying

Why do unibrows and mescans make this guy out like if he's milking white tigers out in Siberia or the second coming of Chavez? Who has he exactly beaten again? Koala boy Geale, a shot mescan journeyman who got stopped prematurely, and pizza delivery guy Proska, who got beat by mexican urkel Mora? At least Rubio rocks a manly mustache GGG can't even grow one. I'm surprised he hasn't entered the ring in a hijab yet.

This was Abel trying to hype/get attention for GGG back in 2013 before he had the attention he is getting today.

I never pay much attention to the things a fighters corner says about them to hype them. It doesnt matter if its Roach, Sanchez, May Sr, Hunter, whomever for the most part. Fighters corner team/trainers are always going to say whatever they think they should to raise their fighters profile. Sometimes that includes trolling people a bit, for the purpose of getting fans to demand higher profile fights.

Very possible he could both. I hate to jump on the hype but GGG isnt your average puncher, the guy can legitimately box. Hagler is one of my favs but don't see why Golovkin couldn't outbox Hagler that struggled with Autofermo, and possibly hurt him too iron chin or not.

I believe trip G is the BEST mw I have ever seen. for all the greatness SRR displayed (so we have been told) if you watch his matches at 160, he truly wasn't all that great.

we have NO watchable footage of him at 147 but I have to assume he was at least 10x better than he was at 160.

does anyone even know of a decent match of SRR's on youtube or anywhere for that matter. seems we have to go off of what all the bias old timers have to say about his true greatness. I have not been able to witness this greatness with my own eyes.

and as a matter of fact, the matches I had seen him in were not very impressive considering the out of shape, beer drinking and cigarette smoking opponents he was matched with.

I've searched for SRR fights on the web and all I really find, that are watchable, are 2 fights against jake lamotta who is one of the most over rated fighter of ALL time.

for all the old timers, their legend grows immensely every passing decade. for every decade or so that passes ones skills and careers grow to unreal greatness.

just look at how Tyson is viewed now, "one of the best HW of all time" are people )(*&^$%& serious. he had the skills to be so much better than he truly was but so limited inside the ring he proved to be.

his stature was a huge problem for him once he started fighting living, breathing and a tinny bit skilled opponents. he was NOT even a top 3 of his own era

Refreshing perspective that flies directly in the face of parroted group thought.
