Great post Momus, you've made some great points.

I agree with you that the first stage has to be, bringing in a single independent organisation.

If it was up to me, I would issue any fighter that was caught, with an immediate 5 year ban, to serve as a huge deterrent.

Like you say, the chances of this happening are slim to none.

There's that many pro fighters, it would be a hell of a job to randomly test each fighter more than once per year.

But as things stand, I can only see the issue getting worse.

The fight I would have liked to see when Roy jumped to heavy was he against Byrd. I thought that would have been an interesting fight.

Yes, it would have been intriguing.

But I suspect that it would have been boring to a lot of people, with little action.

It is hilarious I will say that. Jones doesn't have the Chin to compete with a lot of the fighters you have listed. It is that simple. GGG for example would murder him. Literally. Kovalev would savagely KO him at Light Heavyweight. Wlad would put Roy in a coma with a Jab. I am scared to even think what Wlad's hook or straight right would do to Roy's tiny head? Do you watch Game of Thrones? It would be something like we saw when the Mountain fought The Viper :rofl

GGG would literally have murdered him?

Kov would have savagely knocked him out?

    Based on WHAT?

Based on Roy's Glass Jaw and his awful opposition during his career and what we saw far worse fighters than those 2 do to Roy? :huh

Jones doesn't have the Chin to hang in there and compete with savage punchers. It is why:

#1 he NEVER fought a savage puncher in his whole career yet still managed to get knocked down or KOed multiple times

#2 he avoided all the power punchers at 160,168, and 175, and Heavyweight. He moves up to Heavyweight and fights a guy that had zero skills and couldn't get any other fights because nobody wanted to fight for his paper WBA belt everyone wanted to fight THE champion Lennox Lewis. A quote from Dan Rafael:

So GGG and Kov would have murdered him, based on the fact that he had a bad chin? Guess what Einstein? They'd have needed to have found it first.

He never fought a savage puncher, which means he'd automatically have been knocked out by one?

He fought Ruiz, which again means that GGG and Kov would have murdered him?

    :patsch

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

People know what was really going on at the time your woulda, shoulda, coulda Jones fanboy revisionist history is meaningless. Boxing writers knew Jones was not only ripping off the fans but HBO also.

You are talking to a guy that thinks Roy would beat Ali. He is delusional and I suspect has some form of disorder such as Aspergers or Autism.
