Ok I know triple g has all the size advantages and power to win this fight...but Miguel is not a SOFT touch let's be honest. He lost twice against the best fighters in the world got beaten by a cheater and underestimated a fighter in trout. But Miguel has rarely been in a fight where his opponent hasn't had a rough time in there. So even with ggg's power and ruthlessness,do u honestly think Miguel would not be able to deal??

With Cotto's jab, I wouldn't count him out but I think there is too much against him in this fight so I do favor Golovkin

Yeah I do not think Cotto has much of a chance. Plus, styles.

If Cotto or his team thought he had a chance, he would be seeking to take down the guy perceived as the best 160 in a big , extremely marketable PPV where GGG is more than happy to take B-side pennies. Would be a huge fight at MSG where Golovkin can sell some tickets in his own right.

Instead his handlers want Bradley or Rios. When his handlers are in agreement with fans about his chances, that says a lot.

Cotto is a good fighter, but he is not built like a top 160 guy. If he had a few extra inches of height and reach, and a few more natural pounds I think people would rate his chances much higher.

Can GGG really beat Cotto? Seriously? Do you mean can Cotto actually beat GGG?

All due respect to Cotto, one of my favorite boxers ever and one of the best boxers over the last 15 years, but he will take a beating vs GGG. Early rounds probably go to Cotto, but by the 4th or 5th, Cotto will have nothing but his jab to keep GGG honest and that won't be enough. I don't even want to see this fight because Cotto doesn't deserve a career ending beating.

I hope Miguel fights Canelo at 154, wins and retires.

So Cotto is a true force at MW but is looking for a WW to defend his MW tittle... I see.

GGG is a pressure fighter like Margarito, stronger than Margarito, has better footwork than Margarito, punches harder than plastered Margarito... and is in his prime and has two eyes, not like Margarito.

So I think GGG would stop Cotto. Like Margarito.

I don't think Miguel could handle CanelHOE at 154 even.

Cotto is a natural 147lb fighter. He took a paper fighter from a soft, injured titlist, Yuri Foreman, and then went on to lose 2-3 fights at the weight.
He moves up to 160, beats a punchbag in Rodriguez, and somehow gets a shot at another broken titlist in Sergio.

Props to Cotto for getting the WINNABLE fights at the higher wieghts, but it's almost disgraceful to the sport when fans can't see thru the smoke and mirrors simply because they're blinded by hate.:-:)-:)-(

Cotto and his team will just carry on pretending GGG doesn't exist in the hope he moves up to SMW sooner rather than later.

That pretty much means that he doesn't stand a chance.

And btw, he lost to the best welterweights, and also lost to a light middleweight. He's not anywhere near Golovkin's league, and GGG stops him.

Cotto is a great fighter. When in his best shape and boxing, I think he would have a good shot at a 12 round decision. That is IF GGG were also a naturally 147 pound fighter. The size difference just makes this go from very difficult to almost impossible. A 160 pound durable stalker with extremely heavy hands is all wrong for Cotto and everyone knows it.

Let's be fair here. GGG has not faced anywhere near the level of skill yet as most of the guys who beat Cotto. Let alone some of the guys Cotto has beaten. Aside from maybe Trout? Maybe.

Cotto has a very high skill level as he has proven by competing against other high level fighters. While I love GGG and he indeed LOOKS like the goods, we can't say his skill level is levels above someone like Cotto until he proves it against similar level opposition. It's not the skill level that makes this fight totally lopsided on paper for GGG. It's the styles and size differences.

Those guys Cotto had beaten are non-factor at middleweight. Golovkin has been beating top middleweights and former MW champions. Like I said, Cotto is not in Golovkin's league and would lose to GGG.

I have no doubt in my mind Cotto could "outbox" Golovkin, the thing is, this is a fight, and good big guys beat good small guys. He's too outsized and would likely ultimately get pummeled as the fight wore on.

Yeah you're emphasizing that fact that size is the biggest factor here

You think the bum MWs that Golovkin beat are better skill wise than the guys Cotto has fought throughout his career?
