    Ontario, CA (February 20, 2015)-- Tonight at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California, 2012 Olympic Bronze Medal winner and undefeated Welterweight Taras Shelestyuk will fight Francisco Reza in a scheduled 8-round bout on a card promoted by Thompson Boxing.

    Shelestyuk of Sumy, Ukraine has a record of 10-0 with 7 knockouts is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.

    Shelestyuk is coming off a 1st round stoppage over Antonio Chaves Fernandez on January 16.

    Reza of Torreon, Mexico has a record of 13-11 with 10 knockouts is a battle tested fighter as he has faced Cecil McCalla (19-0), Erickson Lubin, Alex Saucedo (11-0), Artemio Reyes (20-2), Jose Perea (21-2), Luis Grajeda (13-1-1), Mario Lozano (23-3) and Alejandro Berrera (16-0).

    "I have been told by my promoters Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing as well as my manager Vadim Korniov that in April I will be fighting on ESPN live. It is a big opportunity for me to showcase myself and after this fight I will be awaiting my time!", said Shelestyuk.

    At Thursday's weigh-in, Shelestyuk weighed 147.6 lbs while Reza weighed 146.9.

    I'll be honest I expected Shelestyuk to be MUCH further along by now

    Yeah...when he turned pro I had high hopes, from his performances as a pro...mmmm nah. He's no terrible but he's not looks like a world champion in the making

    Brandon Adams putting him down in his second fight is a notable mark against him. He's 29 and had 10 fights...should be up against better foes than this IMO. Sure he's only been a pro for 2 but still...very slow for such a touted amateur
