Canelo should've fought Cotto...

I don't think it was a duck but still weird that Canelo put such a short deadline on the fight negotiations

 

I think that he took a right opponent. All he needs is to impress (something that is very likely with Kirkland). He still has a long career ahead and a Cotto fight is not what fits him best at this point (had he gone at Cotto right after Trout, then he would've won).

Miguel was in no rush, OK that's fine. Canelo didn't want to holdup his career, that's fine too. Nobody is ducking IMO

 

It was stupid. I don't know what he is thinking. He needs a reality check. Him and Khan. It's like they already believe they are at the top of the mountain.

 

Yeah I don't like how Canelo tried to force Cotto into signing for May 2nd, it's like he really didn't want the fight by offering him something he had to refuse since it looked likely Floyd Pac would be fighting then...sucks.

I don't think either fighter is ducking the other, but egos were too big for the fight to be made earlier. I really hope they cancel Canelo Vs Kirkland, and they make Cotto vs Canelo in June!
