yeah sucks because we could've had a mega fight May 2nd and another mega fight June 13 with Cotto-Canelo! Oscar said he will get at it again after Kirkland but Canelo doesnt pick the date!

    Really, man???

Come on man, stop bein crazy.

Cotto was probably tryin to hold out for Mayweather. He felt like it would be an easier fight, win or lose.

Canelo needs to check his ego. He thinks he's a much bigger deal than he is. Hopefully he takes his fans into consideration and doesn't insist on still fighting Kirkland on May 2nd. The Cotto fight can still happen late this year as long as Canelo doesn't insist on competing with Mayweather for a date again.

Look, I honestly don't know what was going on with the negotiations in detail, but I feel Cotto was waiting for the May-Pac to either get made or not in order to make his move. Fighting Canelo was a sweet deal, but getting a rematch with May would've been priceless, especially if he really felt he could beat him.

May has only a couple of fights in his contact, and Canelo is still starting out. I would've done the exact same thing Cotto did. And if I were him, I'd consider waiting for Canelo or May in September, if nothing can get made on June.

He was probably thinking that he is not wasting his time like Pac-Mayweather did.

He had given Cotto nearly every single demand that was asked for and Cotto still didn't sign.

Now who is Cotto going to fight? Cotto was in no position to act like a b!tc diva.

Canelo's camp on more than one occassion stated that they would change the date from May 2nd if the Mayweather-pac fight got signed.

So the May 2nd excuse is complete sh!+, Cotto ducked.

I like Canelo but he's at fault here. All the evidence points to that, he is the one that has signed a fight, and on May 2nd. Just as how they had been acting all along with the date being more important than any fight, they banked on Floyd Pac not happening with the signing of Kirkland. And if Cotto signed, they probably would've held Cotto to the date and went kamikaze against Floyd and Pac since that date was so ridiculously important to them they stopped negotiating with Cotto just to ensure they could start hyping a fight for that date. I know what they said about dropping the date if Floyd Pac happened but Cotto would've had to take their word for that because the contract would've had a date, and you don't just take people's word in business...Cotto understandably did not want to leave it in their hands.

He actually probably knows more than you if you can't see that Canelo would beat the living snot out of him more so than Mayweather could ever dream of.

And Cotto should've just taken their word they would change the date on a contract he has already signed??...that'd be stupid.

yeah bro. I love Canelo, hes a throwback fighter fighting the best. but man he has got to chill. your one of the superstars but your not THE superstar so check your ego to the back.

They'll try to make it again but if he thinks Cotto is gonna fight on mexican independe day and go agaisnt May-Pac 2 then hes sadley mistaken!!!

Uhhh, contracts can be amended you know, it really isn't very difficult to do if both parties agree. It happens all the time.

Why are you defending a ducker anyway?

YDKSAB either if you think canelo beats the **** out of Cotto. Canelo would have a chance but would be an underdog against Cotto.

I'm the one that picked Cotto by KO over Martinez, so until somebody else can bum there thread of an underdog, and nobody was picking to win, then they can shut up. plus i bet it and won $2500. all you guys do his yap but dont put your money where your mouths is :hi::hi:
