Dude why the hec would Cotto duck this fight?

He's sticking around to make money and there isn't bigger money than a Canelo fight

Even if he got creamed in the ring, at least he'd be walking away with a sweet payday.

The alternative is fighting Golovkin for peanuts or fighting another middleweight for even less.

All of those fights are just as risky if not more risky than Canelo, so why would he duck Canelo?

You picking Cotto over Martinez only means you guessed right.

If you're so hot on Cotto, tell me why his resume in the last 5 years looks like **** comapred to Canelo's?

Compare their last 5 fights and you'll see that Canelo is the better fighter at this stage. Deal with the facts.

lol, yeah, if both parties agree. Like I said, Cotto would have to take their word for it...again, that'd be stupid.

My opinion is that he felt if he lost to Canelo, is stock would plummet dratically.

If Cotto got KTFO by Canelo, who would pay to watch Cotto fight again? No one would be gunning to fight Cotto after that because he would be a high risk low reward.

One last time, you can amend a contract to state that if Pac-May fight on May 2nd then the fight gets pushed. Cotto would sign that contract if in fact that was his true reason for ducking, but the FACT is that you don't even know why he ducked Canelo, you're just guessing like the rest of us.

What we do know is that:

    1. Contract can be amneded
    2. Cotto can throw in that demand like he threw in many more such as getting a bigger cut, location of fight.
    3. Cotto signs after it's on paper.

They gave Cotto a deadline to respond, and he failed to do so.

You saying that Cotto didn't sign because of May-Pac fight is you being apologetic because YDKSA-the negotiations.

Yuo're acting like a pathetic groupie now. :patsch :yep

    How dare I?

Mayweather has been acting like a b!tc well before Oscar De La Hoya. Crying in public on mutiple occasions because he didn't get the "credit" he thought he deserved.

Yeah im not sure why these guys hating on Cotto. its fine if you want Canelo to win or think he can beat Cotto, thats fine. i think he has a decent chance also. but to say Cotto ducked or was scared of Canelo is dumb as hell!! he wants big money fights!!

he told Canelo lets fight June because I think May-pac is happening May 2nd and Canelo got butt hurt and told Oscar pull the table.

I'll just ask ppl this. Is Kirkland an easier or harder fight then Cotto?? So Canelo took the easier fight right?? Im just saying

Same as you, you don't know if they actually included the amendment you're talking about or just told him they would move the date. Look at the facts of how bad he wanted to fight on that date, he dropped negotiations with Cotto and took a far less marketable and credible fight just to say he is fighting on that date.

    because hd didnt!!

you the one that brought this up. you tried to compare a young Canlo in negations with Cotto, compared to Mayweather in negoations to oscar!?!?! ITS NOT COMPARABLE AT ALL CLOWN!! learn the sport!!

yes Mayweather bent over backwards for that fight because he was trying to become that mega star. could you imagine if Mayweather pulled his so called offer off the table against Oscar?? well thats what Canelo did to Cotto, **** makes no sense.

The one that loses is Oscar!! haymon has took a bunch of his fighters and this was his mega fight for his company and he backed Canelo but canelo screwed him.

Canelo didn't want to fight in the Garden he didn't want to do it in June. He pulled out. Cotto has the middleweight belt and they both can maybe avg 500,000-600,000 ppv? maybe more like 400,000 to 500,000 Im not sure. they wont be seeing those numbers vs anyone else.

Cottoe ducked this fight, plain and simple. Anyone who thinks or says otherwise DKSAB. Kneeguel was spared another humiliating beating at the hands of an Irishman.
