I'm surprised this thread has lasted this long. I thought by now that axxhole professor would have closed it.

    Yeah that's actually possible.
I'm leaning towards Pac by decision.

Much has been made of the fact that this fight is coming five or so years too late.

And this is probably true, regardless of the reasons why.

But it is still, even in 2015, the biggest event in boxing.

Both men are past their best days.

Pac has been KO'd but it in was a bout he was winning, and the KO did not seem to devastate him as much as some thought it would as evidenced by his three subsequent bouts. He's not too far past prime.

Floyd has slipped too in that for Maidana, for the first time since Castillo (when he had the flu and a sore shoulder), he felt compelled to offer a rematch. And yet he won both bouts with the bigger stronger Argentinian by clear margins.
He's not much past prime either.

We have the number 1 and number two welterweights meeting.
They also happen to be 1 and 2 pound for pound.

This fight will have difficulty living up to the hype, but it still promises be a very interesting evening.

As much as I like Manny and really really can't be ****d with Floyd, I've said from 2008 that I fancied Mayweather's chances and I still do. I'd ****ing love it if he lost though, ****ing love it!

Money is going to brutalize the CongROIDSman in humiliating fashion. Pacquiaoe will not see the final bell. I guarantee it!

Absolutely not. I've broken down Pacquiao's statistics for fights going all the way back to Shane Mosley. His stamina is still extraordinary.

He wasn't slowing down in the Bradley fight either. He actually averaged 14 more punches in round 6-12(14) than rounds 1-6(56).

Same with his past 3 fights, he continues to increase his work rate and punch output the longer the fight goes on.... and at an extremely high intensity. One of his best qualities, IMO.

Floyd by late stoppage or UD.

I honestly think that's what'll happen. And I say this not because I think it'll be one sided- i don't- rather I think manny is going to make him fight and earn this victory, kind of in a similar manner as hatton did with Floyd.

I can't see manny fighting any other way besides coming forward and putting the pressure on him. his combination punches are really quick and I imagine he'll touch Floyd up more than he's used to getting hit in a fight. I think that'll bring the dog out of floyd, every time I see him get nailed flush by someone, he resets himself and comes back to dominate the remainder of the fight.

Awesome matchup, regardless of their ages they're still two of the very best pound for pound. It's the toughest matchup for either man, no question.
