Floyd took some heavy shots by Maidana and was in bad shape at the end of round 4 in the rematch, saved by the bell. I think Chino now is as smart or smarter than Pacman he knows how to handle fast fighters. Pacman only had to dealt with Jmm who is really more about timing, but not terribly fast. I think both, tho not legit ko punchers at 147, still hit hard enough to humble anyone up to 154. They can both easily hurt each other. A tko victory for either one is much more likely to happen than the nuke Jmm planted on Pacman's kisser.

OSDT wouldnt, COULDNT have caught JMM.

That is unless he was doping without close supervision.
But Memo knows that OSDT only catches cheats who go over 6-1. And even then, the A samples find their way into the bin.

It would take VADA to catch one of Memos cheats, and even then, the whole Tijuana carne asada becomes the excuse.:good

Yeah its a myth that Floyd has no pop in his shots as well. He easily has enough to make a fighter think twice especially when he digs up to the body.

He was dropped by Lorenzo Aragon, with a pull counter right in the Olympics. Got up to win that fight. Down officially against Famaso, but that was due to taking a knee after breaking his hand.

I'd call the touch down against Judah a flash kd, but he wasn't badly hurt after eating a pretty sweet counter hook.

Floyd's chin may not be cast iron...but he's been tagged enough that it should be considered more than adequate.

Are you talking about round 3 of the rematch, when Floyd was stunned by Maidana's counter right? By the end of the round 4 he had weathered Chino's onslaught and was actually back in control during the last thirty seconds or so.

Dependable chin as in he's not just going to get KTFO if the other fighter does happen to land clean. But definitely not iron as single shots have hurt him a few times. He just hasn't taken enough punishment to call it iron.

Iron chinned fighters don't need to weather any storm like that. Hagler didn't have to recover from the beasts brutal punches and he took some seriously flush ones for a portion of the fight.

Very few fighters possess Iron chins and Floyd is not one of them.

Yep. Even the best chinned fighters can be hurt/stunned.

Didn't know that, so that's 137 pro/am fights and only been dropped once as an amatuer and once as a pro, (which I still say was less than a flash knockdown), I'd say that's a helluva a chin, and certainly much better than just average.

Has Floyd ever been savagely KOed like Pacquiao was? We all saw how easy Floyd beat JMM. Pacquiao arguably didn't beat the guy once. Why has Pacquiao been put in there with feather fisted handpicked opposition since his KO? :huh

Why did Floyd face the overrated crude Maidana in back to back fights? Why did he got life and death with him in the first, and get buzzed in the second? :think

The first 2 rounds of the Maidana 1 tells me you need more than elbows to knock Mayweather out, I don't think he can be KO'd by anyone at welter weight.
