Wether he didn't it's irrelevant ! He won those fights why are you trying tear down the wins just to suit your agenda ? In your world undefeated records mean allot doesn't it why are you trying to be hypothetical ?

You do know that US Senator was from Delaware right? Also Tiberi's home state and so obviously his loyalties lied with Tiberi, even if he wasn't a fan having a champion boxer and the possibility of championship fights being commissioned in your state would have been reason enough for him to be upset at the decision.

Also you seem to ignore the fact that Toney offered Tiberi a rematch, something which Tiberi has never refuted, he refused and instead chose to retire.

Since you seem to wanna argue hypothetical fights, you actually think Tiberi would have won a rematch? Because he basically wrote the blueprint for half Toney's opponents to come. My favorite was Charles Williams, who had the same trainer as Tiberi. That fight was pretty tough to score.
