Golovkin vs Murray, Monaco 2/21 what is going to happen?

He has never shown me that he has anything to get GGGs respect. What skills does he have? What tools does he have? What tactics can he use here?

Apart from his bulk and negative 'survivors' style, what does he bring to the party?

Basically he can shell up, clinch like an octopus, do a bit of fouling , all just to try and survive - but thats not 'winning'! Thats 'surviving'. He has the benefit of seeing what did not work for others, better all round boxers like Mackin and Geale, who went before him - and that may enable him to survive a bit longer than they did, but is that really all that impressive?

Macklin spent the whole time in reverse, heres the video, please talk us through Macklins " Effort ".

He did fcukall but reverse and try to counter GGG while the refereree was trying to break them.

What you guys need to understand is that Murray wont do well against GGG plainly and simply because he IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

In the first 2 minutes of the fight you will see Murray almost go ' what the f***', GGG is levels above anything he has faced.

With Murrays heart and never say die attitude im really worried for him , as i know he wont lie down like other fighters would.

Tremendous post, Murray might well be tough but he doesn't throw enough, doesn't hit hard enough and is simply out skilled and out gunned. AS you say he will probably spend most of his time in his shell covering up and not throwing a whole lot back.

The question is how many rounds does he last, not if he can win.

The only way Murray can win is to upset GGG's timing, footwork and technique, while taking the initiative and landing shots that stop GGG being able to take the initiative, for twelve rounds. That's not impossible, but the probability of Murray being able to do that is so small that I've laid five grand to win 200 hundred bucks back, on Gennady.
