Lemieux can punch. Not sure he can go 11 rounds though, but we will likely find out if he beats NDam.
Lemieux can't beat any of the top mw's. I used to hope that Pirog and Quillin would finish GG one day but Pirog is just about washed from injuries, and we all know that GG won't face a top boxer puncher. Don't mind me lol.
The one good thing GG is doing is he's stopping guys. He's not exciting, he is just stopping guys. These guys aren't that good . He did stop MM and that is an accomplishment, but now it's time to step your comp up. Make the fight with Quillin, forget Cotto or go to 168. This jig is up!
Pirog would have been a good fight, Pirog could fight. Quillin has been sent big offers by K2/GGG and turned them down. He is a C level guy anyway, which is why he is so protected. I was hoping Andrade was going to man up and move his 6'3" butt to 160 and face Golovkin like he at one point said he was going to. But when the chance came to fight for 160 belt on an HBO headliner, he slunk off instead. You might not like GGG, but I think you are going to have a bit of a wait trying to see him lose. Your best hope is probably Canelo if he can improve his footwork after getting his ankle healed up unless Froch decides he wants the fight after all.
He was hit back 240 something times tonight. By a guy who dropped a more sturdy version of Martinez X2. Who the hell is gonna test him better than that. Who else possesses Murray's heart at 160? His chin? His defense? His ability to grapple? His handspeed, footwork, and combination punching? He was the most complete package in the division outside of GGG, and had a 7lb unofficial weight advantage and 2 inch height advantage.atschatschatsch
I can't go by so called offers made. It takes two to negotiate a fight. I go by fights made. Andrade is a young champion. He will be at 154 for a bit.
GG is easy to hit and he's slow. Has good power. He's come along at a time where he's not used up even at his advanced age. One day those 240 punches will be landed by someone with true power.
Murray has power.....But GGG just has a different kind of power. His opponents thus far have not been able to overcome his power to impose their will over Golovkin. Martin isn't a great win....it's a good win and the middleweight division is nother stacked with a rich talent pool but it's clear you UNDERESTIMATE Golovkin and for whatever reason refuse to give him credit for his ability. Golovkin is doing exactly what special fighters do to over matched opposition. But when a top guy does step up GGG will still prove he's an elite level figter....win, lose or draw.
